  1. Make no mistake I would be delighted if we got him. Genuinely feels like a perfect fit, I don't think he will get another Prem job, he will need to get himself promoted into it, again. But yes as Turkish says too obvious an appointment for the out-of-the-box geniuses that have transformed our club.
  2. I think that started way before Semmens rocked up. Mane, Van Dyke, Hojberg, Gunn, etc etc etc - good or bad we have always signed younger players with an expectation to sell onward. Sports Republic are the ones that took on an nice idea (that was demonstrated quite well with Livramento) and turned into the fundamental strategy of the whole club and lets make this the main thing we do and spunk all the money on it. Too clever by half. I can remember this time last year there were plenty of folk here who were enthusiastic about building a team of Livramentos but that was always pie in the sky for the reasons you say. You never win anything with kids.
  3. Difficult to see a new manager turning things around at Forest, especially with the size of their bloody squad. Where do you start if the all those players gets a clean slate with the new boss with 7 or 8 games to go. Ooof. I think they'd deserve to go doen if they bin him. Cooper could be a great appointment for us next year, although always the risk of Adkins-at-Reading vibes.
  4. Right, so there are plenty of teams who can have utterly shit form for the rest of the season and still get 35 points. We need top 10 form to get 35.
  5. Leicester and Forest down and Derby promoted is my personal dream scenario so there is that.
  6. Struggling to see how this makes any difference to us whatsoever but yeah.
  7. I imagine that he is a Christian just like Hermann Göring.
  8. It wasn't supposed to be an exhaustive list of every team that has ever been relegated. Cov went down before we went down the first time round so not really relevant at all.
  9. 6 wins in 29 but yeah let's just make out that we can knock out four wins from the next 9 games. Sure sure. "Many other teams fans" might be wondering where their final points come from but at least they can rest easy that they have more games than us and more points than us. One spot is gone, and it's us. Way back when we had some absolute forum clowns trying to tell us all that "the relegation fight doesn't even start until after Easter". I wonder where they are now.
  10. Correct, or Stoke maybe. Fairly long standing Prem clubs sliding down and eventually out. The optimistic comparison is Burnley or Newcastle, who bounced back well first time. But yes Sunderland feels the most realistic comparison. We're absolutely nothing like Fulham who are basically the London Norwich yo-yoing up and down swapping places, only this time those two have split off to their extremes - Fulham into top half dreamland and Norwich back into mid table Championship sludge.

Brighton's greatest ever managers don't tend to end up managing at Crystal Palace. Try again.

If he's not our manager by the end of the week it's simply because we didn't try hard enough.
  13. Punctuated by the delusion on here that we are somehow involved in a relegation tussle with five or six other clubs for the last few months. No, we've been non stop bottom and shite all season. Not for a moment have we been competing with other clubs.
  14. Meaning a new manager coming in in November, with a mini pre-Season, more than half a season and a transfer window to go had a wonderful opportunity to turn it round.
  15. The highest Brighton have ever finished is 9th. So come back when they've done 4 top eights in a row.
  16. Don't worry lads, some forum genius will be along in a minute to tell us that we definitely don't need to win tomorrow, no sir, a point is absolutely fine and no problem at all.
  17. Hahahahahahahaha what a twat
  18. The problem with GM is he has never got out of the denial / anger stages. Posting up Daily Telegraph content he only half understands is just feeding that. He's a long long way from the acceptance stage, bless him 🙏
  19. Do your piano wire routine again, it's been a while. What I like about it is how definitely not "nasty" it is, because you're simply a lovely guy x x x x
  20. You're not making any "sense" of any "data", you plank. You never have over the years and years on here of you copying and pasting things from the Daily Telegraph that you don't really understand but you think you agree with. Half the time you post it uncredited desperate for us to think it is your original thinking, but it never is. But today you done put a graph up, well done you. Looking forward to your next copy and paste. You're like the very best at it 👍👍

Any day now we should "all see" exactly what he knew about and the rest of us idiots didn't. Any day now, you'll see.
  23. Ah, nice to see the return of that SaintsWeb perennial of SOG pretending that Hitler and the Nazis were all, like, massive Christians and everything. Because that then evens out 9/11 and makes it all square on the historicsl religious violence totaliser. I mean really they're all the same if you like really think about it.
  24. This is based on deciding that Sulemana and Alcaraz are confirmed brilliant based on a tiny handful of games. Stuart Armstrong 2023 ain't no good and would barely "wipe the floor" with McCann 2005. Livramento literally is on the floor right now. If we're including him as crocked and the folk memory of when Stuart Armstrong was good let's include prime Svennson and Pahars in the 2005 line up as well, they're in the squad and they were good in previous years too. Maybe England standard Graham Le Saux and Redknapp on top. They'd "wipe the floor" with our current team.
  25. Er, no. Peter Crouch and Kevin Phillips obviously better than any of our current strikers for a start. Adam Armstrong is basically Ormerod, that squad's back up striker. Anders flattered to deceive but I have him over Elyounoussi any day. Oakley or Diallo? Not even close. Preston, Higginbottom and Delap just as shite as we have now. Current full backs are better, centre backs maybe too and whoop whoop we've got a couple of decent kids who'll be gone and forgotten in no time. But "much better"? Do me a favour.
