I'm not sure your daughter made a choice just after birth to have a child trust fund so she had £10k at 18. Nor did she make a choice to be be born during the New Labour administration the introduced and popularised the trust fund scheme, subsequently wound up by the 2010 coalition. And you're going to continue to pay in on top anyway. Because she chose to be born to you. Yes I agree your daughter has made some absolutely impeccable choices there 👌

Bullshit. Life in many ways is about happy accidents and luck. Born in the right era you get a lot of luck and you can pretend your good fortune is down to "choices" rather than serendipity, the accident of your birth or the economic circumstances when you were 25. 25 year olds these days didn't chose any of the macro factors impacting their life.

Don't go to expensive Spain you wasters. Have one of them really cheap holidays in, er, Cornwall.

We get it. You don't have the faintest idea about the realities of life for the generation aged 20-40. You had it easy because you were one of the lucky generation and, as usual, believe that it was all down to your own hard work and saving. It was luck. You were lucky.

As I said right from the off, this is fantastic appointment and Nathan is going to do brilliantly at Saints.

The "best attacking team" stuff: give over. Youre still talking about a good performance in League One. Yes, recently a decent performance to get to the Championship play offs. But they're not that unique - the year before it was all about Barnsley as the plucky underdog. Val Ismael was the flavour of the month hot manager then. Poached to WBA and flopped. Before that Huddersfield and so on. So it might be much more than "OK" if you are a Luton fan, good for them. But in context of walking into a Premier League club it is only OK and nothing more. Look, he's here now so we all have get on with it. The most likely scenario is relegation but that won't all be his fault because our squad is bottom 3 standard anyway. -
I think his back up coaches have to take the credit for that particular performance.

Nathan Jones needs to remember that if you do well in the League Cup at this club then you will have a special place in the fans hearts forever.

Forest away thank you please.

I'll just wait to read about it in the paper tomorrow.

I've got no way of following this except, like, here. We could be out by the time I have finished typing this.

If Gakpo was one if the two then what Behind Enemy Lines is saying is bullshit. Gakpo did not come here because of "penny pinching". He didn’t go to Leeds either. He didn’t go anywhere. -
Pretty sure that Sheehan, Cohen & Jones did my conveyancing a couple of years back.

Who is in charge tonight? Ruben Selles? Eriquo Negro more like.

I would add to the above that I had never heard of Hasenhuttl so when I googled him it was difficult to see where he had actually put a foot wrong. His record was actually superb, because it was only his sacking at RB that was a blemish but that seemed like a personality clash rather than failure. He probably had the best record of anyone we had ever recruited. Compared to Koeman which was streaky/patchy when he arrived and continued to be so after us. -

I think our experience with Pellegrino and Poortvliet has taken the sheen off "foreigners good, British bad". If we took the manager of middling Serie B (##googles##) Cagliari and his biggest job was a disastrous time at (###I know this one, Paul Rideout###) Bari in Serie B then I think a lot of talk would still be sceptical and unconvinced. -
I like that it only took about six posts before the Eric Black hate started

Fine. I think in that case lets be clear that this is considered decision, this is the guy Sports Republic really want. Its not about constraints or budget, this is an active choice they are making that this is definitely the guy. Personally watching a middling Championship team playing over and over again doesn't really tell you much about what this guy will be like in nationally broadcast press conferences, or attracting new players, or dealing with multi millionaires who expect to be primed to join Champions League clubs in two years time. If the only thing SR are looking at is whether they like his diamond formation or not, then we're fucked.
