  1. Funny, I thought that was your suggestion.
  2. The club made an obviously terrible appointment and that guy is proving to be obviously terrible. The fanbase who didn't want him in the first place for that reason still don't want him now he is immediately proving to be as terrible as foreseen. I dont know how that has translated to a handful of forum know-alls that "hur hur fickle Saints fans want a different manager every month" they're so impatient and knee jerk etc etc. Its not like Jones was greeted as a conquering hero that we all adored and straight away we've all flipped our opinion. No one wanted this fucking guy from day dot. We don't owe him any loyalty or a second bloody thought. So yeah, do your "Saints fans are so fickle they want a different manager every month" routine. Fill your boots. The truth is they don't. They never wanted Nathan Jones in any month, ever, in the first place.
  3. So do I. And that was why SR gave him the job to keep us up and build to mid table Prem. SR's plan, not "entitlement from fans" like you try and make out. The SR plan. If he fails at the first hurdle and we go down, he will be sacked. Relegation will not be the starting point of the glorious Nathan Jones era built over multiple transfer windows like you think it will. He'll be sacked sacked sacked and gone. Hate to break your heart but there you go.
  4. I think the only person absolutely desperate for Sports Republic are reading this thread is you, with your desperate fawning about how wonderful it will be to let Jones relegate us so he can create a wonderful team in his own image in "several windows" time. Because that will really show the horrible short term knee jerk fans, won't it? SR are just faultless aren't they though? ❤❤❤ Me, I dont need SR to do anything, I'm not even asking them to. Check the thread. I'm just telling you that if we go down Jones will be sacked. As it stands I am not even sure he will make it to the closing day of the season. You think otherwise, which is your perogative. Time will tell.
  5. This was pretty easy to predict in the summer. Gakpo was already too good for Leeds or us. He knew it, his agent knew it, as did his international manager. He just had to hang on and the big move would happen.
  6. All I am saying is if we go down Jones will be sacked. You're saying he won't be. We'll see how it goes x x x
  7. It wasn't Brighton it was Brentford. I admire you salivating at the prospect of a wonder administrator who can only "take a club up" by, er, relegating them in the first place. But that isn't actually how the real world works. Jones will be sacked on relegation because he will have failed.
  8. Sports Republic did not hire Ralph and he did not report to them for the total duration of his tenure. Nice try. Either way we didn't get relegated under Ralph, if we did he'd have been sacked no question. That's kind of the point I'm making. Jones will be sacked if he fails and we go down. I just hope you can cope with the heartbreak.
  9. He was recruited to keep us up. The fan base didn't want him then, don't want him now and if he fails to keep us up the fanbase atmosphere will be toxic. There is no scenario where he gets to "rebuild the club" or whatever if he takes us down. He will be hounded out, he will go. It's not about "entitlement", Spoets Republic have been talking a bloody good game, not about staying up but about building for the top half. It's them saying that, not me. Them. Have a pop at them with your "entitlement" pomposity. And we stick with a manager for four years and all of a sudden we are Watford. Ok mate, okay then.
  10. The idea that Nathan Jones has somehow earned the right to a "few windows" is the only laughable thing about this post......"and if we go down, so be it". Seriously, what the fuck? Jones was recruited to keep. us. up. That's the brief. That's it. Not "have his own team in place for a few windows and if we go down so be it". Just utter garbage. If we go down he's sacked. If he goes on like this he won't make Pancake Day. There ain't no long term project happening right now.
  11. Jones being shit does not make sacking Ralph an incorrect call. Jones can lose 10 games in a row and that won't change. Ralph's time was up. Recruiting Jones was a easily predictable obvious mistake but that's a different argument.
  12. Why not is my question. Ralph Hasenhuttl was "a top manager from Europe" and we recruited him during the oh-so-dreadful Gao era. This is the forward thinking exciting Sports Republic era and we paid compensation out to get this fucking idiot in. I was expecting a half decent manager from these supposed bloody visionaries.
  13. We can only dream of playing of with the financial big boys like Brentford and Brighton. Oh how I long for the days where we outspent such titans. Oh the poverty the poverty the poverty.
  14. The fans haven't "turned on him". No Saints fan on earth wanted him in the first place.
  15. He's going to prove all the doubters and nay-sayers wrong this guy, he definitely is.
  16. We recruited him within a day or two of Ralph going so it's not like we spent weeks agonising over candidates. This is not like when Spurs recruited Nuno last year. Nathan Jones was undeniably one of the first names on the spreadsheet, and they couldn't fucking wait to recruit him. So don't buy this post-rationalisation bullshit from Manji or whoever his source is. What happened show you the facts. Sport Republic wanted Nathan Jones and they got him.
  17. It's difficult not to believe that Sport Republic bought is to fail as some kind of elaborate tax dodge. Every decision they have made just suggests that they fully intend for us to be relegated.
  18. Claude Puel was still getting blamed three years after he left the country so I don't see that is too much of a problem.
  19. RALPH HASENTHUTTL'S TEAM
  20. Edozie will never, ever, ever, ever score.
  21. Let the sixteen year old on. Make his day. We're no good at football so we might as well be the Premier League version of the Make-A-Wish foundation.
  22. Dyche was managing in Prem while Nathan Jones shit the bed at Stoke City so what's your point?
  23. I thought he'd been working with them since November? Or was that a different manager?
  24. But Sport Republic did spreadsheets and scouting on him and everything. They know better than us.
  25. New manager bounce going great then.
