He did say he was busy and he would do it later. I think that meant sometime after the Tokyo Olympics.
-
Got to say I can't remember a single thing Samuels ever said about Cortese. Until I read those last two posts I probably would have lumped him in with the fawning acolytes the short legged one managed to smarm up to.
-
This. They both feel like decent replacements, rather than obvious down grades - these ain't Kerry Dixons. Let's hope one of them becomes a genuine Saints star like the other two.
-
Not said either of those things or anything remotely like it. Not even a wisp of anything like that. It's laser sharp interpretation skills like that that leads you to accuse the poor mare who tried to help Lee Rigby of being a paid up crisis actor. You can try and up the stalking on me if you like, and continue to flailingly fail to ever land on one me, but none of that is ever going to stop you being a 100% conspiro-autistic f uck wit.

So staying because it's a comfortable option rather than because it shows bottle and determination to fight for his place. Yep, I agree with you. He might well stay for that reason.
-
Look at the words in bold, sweetheart. He's picked people up on poor wording before, which is all part of the frolics of the forum. Jolly good fun. If you want a justification of why one might fail it is based on nothing more than transfers-in hit rate. Okay with you?
-
Or sit around collecting his money. Why would wanting to be No 1 choice at another club show a lack of bottle? I'd call that ambition and drive myself.
-
If we sign a keeper for 8 million odd, why would Boruc stay? We don't have the games to hold two front line keepers. It would be new keeper plus Gazza.

Delighted you agree with me now that our last five years were not our best ever. Must have been your son online that day. And delighted you are now supporting the "Billy Davies standard manager" you said we were going to appoint - or did your son type that one too? And any views on the "Rudi Skacel level" signings we've made? Or are you pretending you didn't say that either? I think I speak for the whole forum when I say we are all thoroughly looking forward to the hate filled spiteful little nicknames you come up with for our manager and new signings come the end of August. Get your thinking cap on.

You could be right - if Lovren goes I'd like to see two decent CBs in - one Lovren style (some level of high level experience) one younger/more raw - say Van Dyck from Celtic. And then ship out one of Jos/Maya.
-
Sounds about right, although not that fussed about us chasing a keeper.
-
Great contribution.

Maybe, just maybe the standing of a League competition has no huge bearing on world cup performance. How about that?
-
He's not saying they're irreplaceable. I'm happily confident about next season but Pelle and Tadic could go either way. As Lord D says, you've decided they're better because they've signed for us. If they'd both signed for Hull I doubt you'd be on here proclaiming their top 8 credentials. Where Holland finished in the WC is totally irrelevant, unless you think we should be plundering the Costa Rican leagues now. Let's see how they go: they've got big shoes to fill and it is highly likely one of the two might be a failure.

That's an agent "rent a quote" story if ever there was. "Oh yeah, my boy's being tracked by club x, club y and Southampton".
-
In the face of no serious bids from any major club for any of our best players. It's a lovely attempt to rewrite history, but no, that was not last year's "main objective".
-
The one trick pony who was heavily involved in what Alpine described as "the greatest five years in our entire history" or something a few weeks ago. And the one trick pony that Alpine went suitably apesh it about when he left. The gift that keeps on giving.
-
One can see how you breezed through the interview for that Football Manger stats job.
-
Didn't realise he'd signed a new deal. Good. Staying at Derby under a good coach is what he needs. Would have liked to have seen him at Saints, of course but he'll get more games at DCFC. Maybe next year.
-
For an asset strip/fire sale, they are making a right mess of it. I'd like to see another striker, a left back (obviously) and another wide/creative attacking player. Oh and a centre back to replace that one who's leaving. Goalie seems to be important for some but I am not hugely fussed, apart from maybe a decent young back up to replace Gazza.
-
Us signing Honda doesn't look that ridiculous, does it? Probably not that likely but doesn't seem totally beyond the realms of possibility - he's had a terrible season in Italy so they may want rid, we could probably afford him and I imagine his wages wouldn't be that astronomical. I've not actually seen a credible link so is this even worth discussing? Doubtful.
-
Man U target Blind, right? Clearly a massive failure by useless old Les Reed if we don't get him.
-
It's all there for him to succeed I hope - a manager that believes in him and, hopefully decent supply from Tadic. Go on my son. There's only one Pelle.
-
Go figure what? Winning the JPT is no a better achievement than 8th in the Prem? Okay then.
-
No point saying "no point writing him off". He will not play for SFC in the PL.
