  1. Could be a rerun of the Hoddle year. Pretty darn tedious but we won plenty of games one-nil and generally very solid most weeks (Tranmere excluded). Hello Dalek.
  2. Would you say you are "not bothered"?
  3. That's right. There is absolutely no middle ground between one win in nine and "sweeping all before them". None at all.

Agree. If handball was only awarded for specific, intentional handling of the ball there would be about two handball decisions given in the entire league each season.
  5. Only watching MOTD now. Fulham starting with Steve Sidwell centre mid. Think Jack could claim that spot pretty easily.
  6. This is my favourite goal from Open Play. Well done Marco and St Benali. http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=DuIX5iB16GI&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DDuIX5iB16GI
  7. Having spent thirty odd million quid and broken our transfer record twice on three players down the spine of the team, I am not sure you can say we haven't strengthened...we have, probably more than all our "direct competitors". I am not expecting much more from deadline day, save for a couple of departures. Maybe a loan in, or some kid signed. But no big signings to come. Time to get on with it.
  8. Only mental people are panicking. I think following a drab end to last season, and a very benign set of fixtures in August, many people were hoping for us to fly out of the blocks. Oh well. Good for keeping reality in check.
  9. Who did we draw 0-0 with then?

    You wait until next season.
  11. Lovren giving it some Michael Laudrop there.
  12. Do groundhog day!!!
  13. Typical patronising life-is-a-computer-game response from you. He's now a proven Prem midfielder, he is better than not making the 18 for a club like Saints. If he wants to go I wouldn't blame him.
  14. What we ended up with is a perfect sized stadium in the heart of the city centre and the club back to the site of its very beginnings. If you want to support a shopping complex on the edge of nowhere, go and support Bluewater or something. I'll stick with a city club in the city it represents. Crazy, I know.
  15. How the hell do I know? He probably wouldn't want to go without something suggesting he will play.
  16. ...and now he's not first choice. He might ask to go "for personal reasons".
  17. The lamest stock reply in the book by some distance. Jolly well done. PS. Nothing on these forums is important.
  18. The divs on the Pompey takeover thread are really struggling with this fact. At the end of the day, third kits are utterly irrelevent.
  19. How'd you work that out? With a piddly little 24k stadium we might have got relegated before we did, and we would definitely be a far less attractive as an investment for random swiss billionaires. And if it was down to you, we'd have been taken over by your heroes at SISU. So we'd probably be playing our games at Aldershot by now. But you like being out of town, don't you Richmond?
  20. "the quality of players they are attracting now is really impressive". Funny none of you quoting that line. Mainly because it doesn't fit with the "Waah waaah waaaah howwible Lawro hates us waaaah waaah waaaaaah" worldview on here. Please Lawro. Please say we'll win. Please. Please Lawro. Please. Please.
  21. Not really. I save my ire for the weapons grade idiots on this forum. Oldnick - what Pompey did was as bad as the Boston bomb - fits securely in the premier league. Anyway. Show's over. Back on topic.
  22. I didn't actually say that: my point is our abortion of a home kit wins out in overall shi tness against their third kit. Both kits are sh it, but theirs is a third kit with at least a nod to tradition and history. It has its heart in the right place, and at the end of the day is the third choice kit. Tossing about with a third kit: minimal impact. We're stuck with our sack of sh it at every home game for the rest of the season.
  23. You making that conclusion from what I've written says a heck of a lot more about you. As does every moronic utterance you make on this topic and all topics on this forum. You're not worth wasting energy on.
  24. That is sh it. Pompey have had salmon pink away kits before - Everton had one a couple of seasons back - and they can look great. A L2 team selling a third kit is a decent enough idea. I know the general form here is to laugh and sneer at every single thing Pompey ever do regardless of merit but all in all I'd say this is worth doing, albeit with a slightly better design. And frankly we are in a huge glass house when it comes to utter shi teness of kit. Our abortion wins hands down.
