  1. Looks like a dynamic revolutionary kit suited to a unique forward thinking global mega club superbrand. Not like the kind of tin pot parochial stuck in the past junk a club like Athletico Madrid would wear.
  2. Isn't describing Adam Lallana and others as "league one players" really rather offensive? Why not go full - on beetroot factory while you're at it?
  3. Jesus Christ. Our current kit symbolises two things. One, Cortese's failure to get Adidas to supply us anything other than the most generic, Sunday league sports shop design in their portfolio. And two, it symbolises business genius Cortese's failure to secure one of the top flight's most pitiful shirt deal with some tin pot computer company in Romsey.
  4. Other less hardy souls would have been seduced by the allure of modern forward thinking plain red wearing football giants like Swindon Town or Bristol City.
  5. Yes but something something League One something greatest phoenix rise in something something short memories something perspective something.
  6. Glad you mentioned a previous Chairman's ability to deliver a series of solid mid Prem finishes culminating in eighth, a cup final and fourth in mid season too. Our last chairman fled for the hills during mid season (when we were ninth not fourth), stropping off after completing all of one whole season in the top flight. Fingers crossed the new guy can hack it for a little longer.
  7. Sorry, that's not the "perspective" view. Apparently we achieved some kind of footballing miracle.
  8. So you think Cortese should have Carte Blanche to do what the hell he liked? Okay then. Great "perspective" there. Thank god you're here, oh wise one.
  9. Too right. Some people can't even remember we finished eighth in the Premier League not that long ago and act like this season is the greatest in our history.
  10. You're rolling your eyes at an article on Newsbiscuit. Face palm me up.
  11. We might be fifteen million quid better off.
  12. If only we had £15m spare in the summer. Just think what we could have done with £15m.
  13. Ask not if you can let the training ground budget go spiraling up by £15m, double the original plan, but how. Ask not if you can deliver one of the (if not the) very worst shirt sponsorship commercial deals in the Premier League, but how. Ask not if you can cosy up to your chums in the Daily Mail and Sky Sports with pie-in-the-sky self aggrandisement, and then feed them destabilising doom-laden trash talk on the event of your departure, but how.
  14. Okay, the Italian Chris Hughton then.
  15. Either way, it's been shown he was a good Championship level chairman who struggled with the step up to the highest level. An Italian Ian Holloway if you will.
  16. PS. You are a total bellend
  17. Why wouldn't I enjoy the win? We're brilliant and bang on to achieve what I thought we could this season. So thanks for the utterly pointless reply. Embarrassing to suggest we might not become a regular top 6 club anytime soon? Okay then. Maybe you should try and read what I actually post, sweetheart.
  18. This. The sheer arrogance that a wish to see us finishing 9th in the Premier league is dismissed as pessimistic is what is so laughable on this forum. We've finished eighth in the prem once in about twenty years. No medium sized club in that time has consistently broken the top 7 for any consistant time in the same twenty years. With the exception of Bolton who, surprise surprise get dismissed and sneered at on here. But they did it. 8th or 9th five seasons in a row would be an astonishing achievement. I doubt we will do it but would love it if we could. 4th, 6th etc is total pie in the sky, we might might do it one season. But really not worth wasting energy on.
  19. Why aren't the talking about winning the league, then? We should be aiming that high, right?
  20. Does this mean Steve Coppell will no longer be doing all that tireless work he was definitely doing for no money? Big loss.
  21. Nick Ferrari is biased, yes. Former Fox News executive, chum/acolyte of Murdoch, potential Tory candidate for Mayor back in the day, the go-to rent - a - gob right wing commentator the news stations go to. Yes, he is biased.
  22. Anyone thinks it is "totally unrealistic" for Saints (or any prem club) to be second in October is an idiot. We were fourth at Christmas on the Lowe plan. Any Prem team with a fair wind could do that, last year WBA were up there. Next season it could be Newcastle again, or Villa might click or Burnley could do little surprise package routine. But October flurries are pretty meaningless: we aren't second now. Rickie can say what he likes. We aren't going into the CL and that's fine with me.
  23. This. Let's hope our new man spends less time cosying up to his chums from Sky Sports and the Daily Mail and more time securing commercial sponsorships that are a wee bit less pitiful than the previous suit saddled us with. When WBA have a shirt sponsorship deal worth of 5 times ours, something is seriously lacking.
  24. Absolute comedy gold. LOL at getting a "case number" and everything.
