  1. The old elephant trap. Oh, you're clever.
  2. There are other clubs close by Leeds who therefore have no catchment area whatsoever. Let's be clear here. The man walks on the moon theory only. works. for. Saints.
  3. ....no one on earth has ever said Sheikh Mansoor had any history of loving Man City. But funny they plumped for Manchester City in 2008, and not "just some Prem team" like Hull, or Bolton, or Stoke, or Sunderland, or Wigan. Just randomly, out of thin air, Manchester City. Big city, former league champions, massive fan base Man City. "Just some Prem team".
  4. In 1996 most people would have said that Liverpool would win the league at least once in the next fifteen years.
  5. It's possible it's possible it's all possible. Close the thread. It's possible. It's possible.
  6. Possibly. Although in fairness I wasn't talking about the St Mary's pitch. This is now apparently a forum for all football clubs in the South and West, so really I was referring to the grounds of our close friends in Torquay, Exeter and Bristol as we all really give a sh ite about them.
  7. But won't be any more wet during rainfall? Gee, you are the clever one.
  8. I'm going to start one pondering whether or not games next season during rainfall will result in wetter pitches than games on dry days. Thoughts anyone?
  9. In the days when this forum was brilliant, it was full of threads like this.
  10. Ahh. I see it now. What a valuable insight you've brought to the forum. So to summarise, for clubs in the west country, some away trips are shorter than other away trips.
  11. Forest/Derby/Leicester triangle and Burnley/Blackburn in NPC. There's plenty.
  12. The old Bristol City v Coventry classic derby. Can't wait for that one. FFS.
  13. The comedy made up conversation skit was everywhere in the days when this forum was brilliant. Oh, how we roared. Great forum. Not like now. It's rubbish now.
  14. A prat like someone writing off paper reports of Adkins sacking and Poch's appointment merely hours before it happened? That kind of prat?
  15. Alan Ball walked over broken glass to become Saints manager.
  16. I doubt very much that Inter can match our record of eleven FA Cup semi finals. Deep down Gaston will know this and won't want to leave.
  17. With Yoshida I see it as it will have had some impact for the red-shirt obsessed idiots in the entirity of the Orient. But has Gaston really delivered more in endorsements/shirt sales compared to, say, Lambert or Lallana? Certainly not a Kaka like impact anyway.
  18. Where's your sense of humour? Charlie would be roaring with laughter if it was his business. Nothing as funny as employees of supplier publicly and vocally abusing a customer. It's hilarious. Doctor Seuess said so or something.
  19. You're right. Those two being sacked is pretty funny.
  20. Our first Prem game on Sky. Not our first game ever on Sky TV, though, just in case there are any pendants* reading. *yes, I know.
  21. How do you fancy our chances in our first game of the season against WBA? Got to say I am nervous starting the season against a club who, on your terms, are massively much bigger than we are.
  22. We could finish above Everton and Spurs every season for a decade and Saints still won't be seen as a bigger club. And rightly so, because we won't be. The sense of arrogance and entitlement sweeping through this forum is an absolute joke.
