  1. Don't know, it seems that way anyway. Someone put up the table from this time last season and the points in and around the bottom three were about the same as this season, and 32 wasn't enough last season. So probably true.
  2. 32 sounds a bit tight but you're right it won't be 40. 37/8 will be plenty, could be as low as 34/5. Points per game will creep up as the season goes on. The teams at the bottom will face teams with not much to play for, or teams ahead of cup semi finals etc.
  3. If you want to hijack threads fine. If forum tw ats want do work up little mathmatical factoids they are free to but who cares. Funnily none of them have the guts to say they think West Ham will go down. So they are just ****ing in the wind. I think WHU are as likely as Man United to go down. I think you are a complete helmet. I'm right on both counts. See you in two days time when you dredge this sh it up again.
  4. If West Ham go down you have full right to crow. Until then you just look like a spanner. I think WHU won't go down. Gosh, how controversial.
  5. Don't bother. The divs on this forum think the audited ABC circulation figures are just made up numbers from the evil press propaganda machine. Effing clueless.
  6. 42 more points, winning every single one of our remaining 14 games. I admire your ambition, but I wouldn't say "need".
  7. Pretty sure we can't get loans. That's a football league thing.
  8. As opposed to intentionally signing players that wouldn't improve the squad? Which manager would ever say that in an interview? Some people are easily pleased.
  9. Saints spent over £35m on players this season, the last game saw them outplay Man Utd at Old Trafford with 21 shots on goal. Yet people complain!
  10. You can see the revolution taking shape. In Nigel's day he would have been talking about signing one or two that probably wouldn't improve the squad but we'll sign them anyway. It's like a breath of fresh air.
  11. What have Villa ever done anyway? Finishing sixth three seasons in a row? Effing pitiful. If Cortese thinks he can dish that kind if horsesh it up and expect us to be thankful he can think again. We need to do far better than this. All my hopes dreams and aspirations for the rest of my life are wrapped up in my football club finishing fourth. And that hope alone, expressed on a messageboard, means we will do it.
  12. Quite. Leeds still bigger than us now. That'll get the dipsticks going...
  13. You need about 1.5 points a game. Kinda like Liverpool have got now. Fair play, they're not top six. They're seventh.
  14. Firstrow as FC says above, or wiziwig (google it). There are popups but they go esp on fullscreen. You don't have to download or pay anything.
  15. Jesus Christ. If its all right with you, I tend to save my hope and believe for my life and career, my family and especially my two girls. If you equate "hope and belief" with mooning over whether or not your local football team gets into the fourth position in a league, a few times then bully for you. Fill your boots. Me? I can quite happily get on with the rest of my life, and support my team wherever they end up.
  16. QPR need to do a Wigan then. I think they will run out of games, and still go down. If we do the near-impossible tomorrow and win we are pretty much home, if not quite dry.
  17. Why do you stop at top four? Why not winning the Champions League five years in a row? Loser.
  18. I've got nothing to say except we will finish fifth next season, then third, fourth or fifth every season for the next ten years. In year eleven we will finish ninth, at which point I will march on St Marys to demand the removal of Nicola Cortese for destroying our once great club. But, on the plus side we could look back on some cracking seasons in the Championship.
  19. We can kiss goodbye to nine or ten million of our Asian fanbase then. Thank god we've still got the all red kit.
  20. Be still my beating heart.
  21. I've been bashing him L, R and C all season. He didn't need to sack anyone to get a bash from me. I aint no bandwagon jumping basherer. Don't care if he wins the Champions League five times in a row. I'd still give him a bit of a bashlet now and then. If nothing else it winds up the disciples, so why stop?
  22. Don't bother arguing with MLG on Everton. Many have died pursuing such a teeth grindingly pointless cause.
  23. You keep starting threads about it.
  24. Rib tickling as ever.
