Well being that "doing something about it" involves significant logistical and capital commitment he's doing the right thing. On here I think we'll all pretty sure there are scenarios planned for expansion in the right time and the right way. Thats the only "doing something about it" he should be doing right now. Beating Lowe era levels (25,000 mark) would be a significant step on that journey though.

Or maybe not. It's a good story and they would have run it if it was any current or recent Prem club, esp as the activity happened when said club was in the Prem. Really not a vendetta against Saints.

Well my point was generally aimed at those on this thread suggesting Vitesse should adopt this 'Southampton Way". In reality Vitesse have done the right thing - it looks like they have agreed a fee to sell this player to us and that is what they have told their fans. I would expect Saints to do the same thing. Whether they would or not is debatable.

Hats off to Vitesse for taking the time to let their fans know exactly what is happening with one of their star players. I am sure their fans appreciate the honesty and the communication. I know we all support a far more progessive club and not being told anything at all is, like, so enlightened and foward thinking and really amazing. But maybe I'm stuck in the past and like a club trying to communicate with fans. Even if it is, like, sooo Eighties.

I think the fact he has played at this level makes him better than M and C at this point. He probably has less scope to get better than those two but I think we need some genuine top level experience in the team now. Good signing IMO.

Not arguing about anything. Just laughing at people making out a) Saints can magically do things in secret and b) this is in any way a desirable thing. And, of course people pretending this signing was done in our magical secret way when it wasn't. In recent weeks people on here have been obsessing about "the Southampton way of doing things" so I think you should use your hilarious Star Trek picture on them.
