The football league did not want us to be liquidated. Not that we were in any danger of being liquidated at any point.

Amarillo was being played but 99% sure no one was singing WTFILN. Get on board with GB Hockey. Both teams looking great, especially the girls who look on for a medal. GB girls team working for me on a number of levels.

"arksing" is worse.

Daily Express reporting this morning that the opening ceremony: Has caused house prices to rocket Watching it twice is very likely to cause cancer And it was a disgraceful affront to the memory of Princess Diana and Madeline McCann. Join the Express campaign now to get national saint Nigel Farage to lead out the british contingent of indiginious whites at the closing ceremony whose theme should definitely be "how English pure white people sorted out them blacks through the ages".

The "by sports writer" thing is not always about people not wanting to put their name to a rumour. It is often because the story has come from the Press Association, or another similar agency. This article is very likely to be agent driven planted rumour, one round in the chess game of getting Theo a new contract/move elsewhere. We'll see.

This. It's turning into Jools Holland's Hootenanny out there.

Paraguay take the lead.

I thought the ceremony was brilliant, well done Danny Boyle, knighthood in the bag on New Years Day I'd say. Perfect distillation of what it is to be British - history, humour, heart, diversity, great music, pomp, style and fu ck me we invented industry, modern capitalism, universal healthcare and the world wide web. Had a little well up four of five times through the show, our country really is freaking ace. Anyone want the parade to finish now, though. Jeez.

We could turn it into the why Turner is ten times better than Dann thread. Ten times better. Ten times! Who wants to start?

The common sporting interview answer "yeah no definitely".
-
What has any of this got to do with you grizzling about non existent sensationalist journalism? Oh yes. Fu ck all. Jolly well done though.
-
Lucky escape for the boy then.

This. Just ended up bouncing around the European big clubs for half a season each. Was proper addicted before. It's like the classic "Footballer of the year" from Amstrad/Spectrum days.
-
We are talking about a news story not the details of the tribunal. The Palace guy has had a little moan and the journo worked it into a fairly anodyne workaday article of him hitting out at SFC. Which is a perfectly accurate summation of what has happened. The end.
-
Whatever. You said it was sensationalist journalism. It's not. Nothing exaggerated in my own head. You people are fu cking nuts. Why people then need to launch into this "oh the great CB Fry has spoken" stuff I will never know. Its a forum for opinions as long as everyone agrees on everything. If they don't you just start dishing out drama queen sh ite like the above.
-
What, and miss all the hilarity. No chance. Its LOLs on toast here. I'll just get back to desperately wishing Saints lose every single game next season so I can, you know, really enjoy it. Or something.

What's wrong with being excited about Saints future while at the same time not giving two sh its about whether QPR have a slightly better or slightly worse training ground than we do. What's wrong with being excited about Saints future while at the same time not giving a screaming dump about some new red felt around the pitch? How does having a laugh at someone firing off/asking for reams of statistics to "prove" our academy might be better than Stokes....how does that equate to wanting Saints to "have a poor season"? Seriously, how do you make that leap? I think you are, just about, allowed to be a Saints fan without being too bothered if we have fewer treadmills and eye-gyms at our academy than QPR. I support a football club, not a branch of David fu ck ing Lloyd.
-
Reasonable read in fairness...but have the trust really raised a "barely believable seven figure sum" or just a load of giddy "pledges"?
-
Red felt round the pitch being given a makeover, eh? Champion's League here we come.
-
It's our first game back we might do. But if it was in the middle of the season less likely.
-
Why don't you and your fellow arse aching bores start a different forum? You can obsess about me make up straw man arguments and do all your usual weaselling snideyness completely undisturbed by normal people.
-
Yep. Absolutely. So not "sensationalist journalism" to report as such is it. Just stuff that happens. Too many sensitive flowers on this forum who want the world to consist entirely of official SFC corporate press releases, with everything else demonised as "anti-saints agenda" or "sensationalist journalism" or other such bed wetting garbage.
-
From a business leader in an industry in the public eye it is hitting out. Quite rare for any chief exec to use phrases like that on the record. You can play the mock offended card but you were the one whining about "sensationalist journalism" on the back of a fairly workaday article about a football exec getting the hump. Hardly the most sensational story the world has known is it?
-
I think you can file that alongside "all you people who think we can never play in Europe" as totally fabricated concepts that no one ever actually says or even thinks, but certain people rail and grandstand against regardless. Oh, "I bet you thought that about leaving the Dell" is another one you can stick in that list.
