  1. Can we get Billy Sharp back ;-)
  2. Maybe we can ship him onto Spuds to play for their new manager who reckoned he could handle him......
  3. And let's not forget better to be a selling club than one like Arsenal where there talent regularly move to Man City on a free at the end of contract. Sagna being the latest in an ever increasing list.....
  4. Some of that increase would have been factored into the clubs budgets - likely in the range of the £18M increase clubs like Fulham and Norwich saw. Therefore the real 'additional' and unexpected increase (windfall) is in the region of £15M.
  5. Would still consider making a move for Marshall with Cardiff down and needing to plan ahead
  6. Tell me about it. Live in Brighton and at a kids party with loads of adult Seagulls. Mad cheer when news of winner came in.
  7. SNSUN - Yes PFC do do visits, even to Southampton Hospital! My cousin (14) has cancer and has been having his chemo there and was visited by the blue fish which made his day as he is a massive fan - remember you can't choose your family.... They've been really good to him and had him as a match day mascot, and tickets to watch etc.
  8. •The last time Southampton lost to Aston Villa, in 2005, current first-team players Luke Shaw and James Ward-Prowse were still at primary school.
  9. Just seen BBC sport newsflash that Rickie is out of Friday's match. What's the story??
  10. With a four point lead and only one game remaining before the international break, we are guaranteed to be above Man Ure when we visit Old Trafford in a couple of weeks time. May the good times roll.
  11. Looks almost guaranteed with that booking for Welbeck.....
  12. And I thought Emile Heskey broke the mould for non scoring International Centre Forwards lol
  13. Laughed so much dropped my phone.
  14. Born and raised in Portsmouth from a large extended family - my dad has 7 siblings - who are all skates. Imagine their disgust when I went for the only logical option of Saints. My gran, who passed away this year, still referred to me as "her scummer" but I continue to forgive her.

  16. The fog is clearing and I see an image forming. Yes, the Duck Hunter is back in charge and he's managed to persuade Harry Houdini to step in and help save us from ourselves..... Off to slit my wrists.
  17. One reason to leave would be more money - obvious I know. Not saying he will leave but players are not fans and they have different loyalties/ priorities than us
  18. Perfect. Much rather a point from The Bridge than a good result in the Cup. Onward & Upward.
  19. And we won't expand so no need to worry
  20. I see Sir Rickue getting into double figures but don't expect us to get four pens.
  21. Glasgow. No £50 just 2x £20 and a £10. I guess that was someone else's!
  22. Now I'm a believer. Great set of results today.
  23. Don't know why but I tend to see life as a glass half empty rather than half full. Following saints is no exception. If (when) we beat Donny this afternoon I'm officially going to see our promotion prospects as being probable rather than possible. Any other pessimists out there willing to share what it will take to view things with optimism?
