  1. Just the 8pts now and four away games on the trot; Leeds, Everton, Sheff Utd & Man City. Could easily lose three of those, four would be a catastrophe. Safe to say I’m worried until we bag another win, not sure where it’s coming from yet.
  2. I think we’re definitely going to be safe, well, I thought that was a banker in December that we were, still, here we are.. We could easily finish this season 17th if we continue on a bad run, I would be gutted if that were the case after how good we were, I mean, top of the table ffs! I can’t see us ever being dragged down into a battle to stay up, two or three more wins and we’ll be good. Sheff Utd and West Brom look too far adrift - I do fear that dreaded 18th, but I hope we’ll see a few more good performances before the end of the season to keep us safe.
  3. I agree that’s probably correct. I really like Hassenhuttl, I think he is doing a tremendous job - he certainly has not had the backing that Pochettino had the luxury of back in 2013/14 and could quite well imagine that Hassenhuttl would be equally as successful with us as Mauricio was, if the same sort of ambition was still in motion now.
  4. Both, only within the last 7 years too and to now be managing Barca and PSG. Shows the sort of calibre we attracted and ambition we had back then, in comparison to present times.
  5. Sheff Utd or Bournemouth at home then? Yes, please, could do with a wee FA Cup run and back-door European football..
  6. Don’t think he ever lost it, he went through a crap period and got labelled as our worst-choice goalkeeper after being sensational for us. Since then, been treated to Gunn & McCarthy and they’ve not been half the ‘keepers Fraser ever was for us, still think he’s the best we’ve got and wasted him these past few seasons.
  7. Don’t reckon we’ll score against 9 either the way our last few weeks have gone. Nah, probably will, and get it chalked off for a dodgy VAR call.
  8. Got to be massive offers for JWP in the summer, just for the free-kick specialist aspect. Handful of players like him around at the moment, big clubs will pay big money for dead-ball specialists.
  9. Wow, that is utterly abysmal. What is wrong with us?!
  10. God help us, I hope Hassenhuttl isn’t giving up on us. Its far from his fault, a talented manager who’d be doing well with us if he’d been backed by our awful backroom. Now he has two 9-0’s to his resume in as many seasons, he really must feel let down by the non-existent transfer policy.
  11. Please god, do not finish 8-0 or 9-0. We’ve heard about 9-0 for over a year and that was just Leicester. We’ll hear about this for the next three years since it’s Man Utd.
  12. Just it’s bare, ravaged bones I think. Nothing new there.
  13. Are they? lol
  14. Why are we 2/1 at home with the bookies when Villa are 5/4? Seems unfair on Saintsz Not complaining on a betting perspective, seems generous, but crazy they think we’re that bad not to deserve being favourites to a side that just got beaten by Burnley midweek and we’ve just not long beaten Arsenal and Liverpool at home.
  15. It definitely was, got nothing on the ball. We’re a wee team though.
  16. Exactly what I thought. He was clearly ahead of the two CB’s but the RB at the bottom of the picture was to the naked eye equal with him. I was waiting to see the lines drawn by VAR but seemed to be instantly called offside when clearer decisions than that have taken 5mins to come to a conclusion in the past. Mystifying.
  17. Amazon not even a smidge of a replay of the offside build up. I swear he was level with West Ham’s RB #24 if the lines on the field are straight
  18. Let’s hope they get 10. We can lay to rest 0-9 forever. Can’t believe commentators still cling onto it.
  19. “It’s a foul outside the area” Its incredible that because it’s inside the area it’s a factor in a referees decision making. A foul anywhere should be a foul. I wasn’t aware there was a separate rule book for inside the box as opposed to out. I disagree at the view given that a boot flying towards Ings’ face did not affect his header and that was why it was not reviewed. Of course it’s going to affect the quality of your header, you aren’t going to commit to heading that ball when you’ve got a size 12 two feet away from ploughing between your eyes.
  20. Oh damn. Seen that coming for the past five minutes, it was just constant Man City pressure. They’re still at it now, wave after wave of quick counters. I hope this doesn’t become a deflating score line.
  21. The same listening to 5Live. Whoever the woman is commentating jizzed herself when Aubameyang scored, couldn’t stop going on about how a side like Arsenal shouldn’t be in 15th.
  22. Imagine going on and giving them a good 5-0 hammering, would love to see it, bring them back down to earth with a massive bang 🤣
  23. Cannot believe Aston Villa were a few mins from being relegated last season and now they’re cruising, 100%, 4/4 unbeaten. Madness. Everton fans’ll be getting restless thinking it ain’t their year after all with Villa about to motor past them 🤣🙄
  24. I agree with you, I don’t like the way the top leagues are heading, so much incomprehensible money. Quite sure I read a report during the last year or two that Gate Receipts in the EPL make up the tiniest most minuscule percentage of clubs’ income now that they could probably all survive never seeing a fan ever again in their stadiums. I doubt any Premier League football team have gaping holes in their finances because of the lack of fans - They certainly weren’t short, firing out over £1bn in transfer fees again this summer. I understand £15 is less than what you’d expect to turn up at an EPL game and pay for a ticket, but during these times where people are being encouraged to stay at home, many struggling with loss of jobs and money, the least they could have offered, as such they did during lockdown, was sporting entertainment for free during the crisis until fans are allowed back into stadiums, it’s pure greed.
  25. Quite sure at least six of those players starting have been near or in our first XI over the last year and a few just recently been playing Premier League football this season and they’re getting destroyed by a mediocre League One side. Quite sad if that’s what we’ve got to show for our academy now.
