Haha....knowing my luck I'd probably go to bed with Kenzie Benali and wake up next to Franny Benali.

The most pleasing thing for me (apart from the result of course) was that at 2-0 down, our heads didn't drop and we showed some real spirit to get the result. With West Brom's result yesterday, they will be buzzing next week, but as a result of today's fight back, I think we'll be buzzing as well. Burnley are not a "bad" team. They don't play attractive football for sure, but season after season they constantly show that they know how to grind out results. Today, the boot was firmly on the other foot. We were shaky at times, but we also played some good football. Well done Saints! It's just a pity that so many keyboard warriors on here, who obviously know far more about the game than Ralph, committed suicide after 28 minutes and that we won't be able to enjoy their moronic comments anymore.

Whether or not he is liked on here, he is and always has been a model professional footballer. A very good role model for younger players. He might not have set the world alight like some others have, but I always felt he gave 100% on the pitch and was a very good servant for this club. Well played and congratulations to him I say.

So now you're telling me it's wrong to smuggle two tonnes of cocaine now is it? Huh! The World has gone bloody mad I tell you. I wouldn't mind betting someone on here blames Jack Stephens for it.
-
I hadn't seen that. Yeh, good point. Maybe the deal with Scotland was "Please can you just play one of our lads (Che) but rest the other (Stu)".
-
Congrats to Che. A fine goal. Good first touch, control and shot. Only the Faroe Islands I know, but as long as he keeps doing it at international level that can only be good for us, even if it meant we had to sell him on at a good profit somewhere down the line. I do wonder if Ralph had a polite word with the English and Scottish camps, sending home JWP as a fitness precaution and Armstrong not used unnecessarily. I also thought Bednarek had a pretty decent game against England. Happy that Che came through unscathed and with a boost to his confidence as well.

Do try to keep up Turkish....this is important. If we go down against Burnley and then go down to West Brom as well, then the game's up and we'll probably go down. We really need to step-up against Leicester in order not to go down against them as well, in the Cup. We will then need to face up to Leicester in the league to make sure we don't go down. Basically if our heads go down then we won't stay up, but if we keep our heads up then the likelihood is we won't go down. Should we reach the Cup Final and we are still up, then we probably won't go down. I hope that helps. Bloody Hell, this Jack Daniel's tastes good tonight.

A very close call for me, between KWP and Stu. I think Romeu would have been up there as well but for his injury. I think he was having a really good season. Let's face it though, whoever scores the winner in the Cup Final will be Player of the Season......possibly the decade. (Keep dreaming Keef - it's working!)

I just read that site. I need to go for a wash now as I'm feeling a little grubby.
-
So who the hell can we blame on here now.......ummmm......uhhhhh.......Oh Jack Stephens. Let's have a pop at him.

Calling someone a racist is light humour? OK whatever. I can't wait to see your one-man stand-up comedy routine once you get on to the serious stuff. I bet it's a right hoot. Anyway, I'll take it that you meant it to be funny.....although I didn't find it so. I've used up all my messages for today (blast!!! I had some really good things to say too) so I won't be answering further.
-
It was a little light humour Turkish. Don't fucking call me a racist. You need to come out from behind your keyboard occasionally. There are many things I could call you with some of the utter drivel you put up on here. Twat seems to be a good place to start and if the Mods aren't happy with this so be it.

Good luck to Che McAdams as he shall be called from now on.
-
He has been a very good servant to the club, but this is a harsh business. We need someone on the left similar to the KWP ilk on the right. I'm not suggesting I know who that might be, but a left back who is quick, good in the tackle, can take on and beat opposition defenders and can supply a final ball into the box and then get back quickly if it breaks down. I'm afraid Ryan doesn't offer much of these anymore. Far too many backward passes and he seems to lack "desire and determination". Whether that's his attitude or just age has caught up with him I'm not sure. I get the argument that we need to strengthen elsewhere as a priority. But a marauding pacey left back in my opinion would open up so many more opportunities. I wonder how much Man U would want for Luke Shaw.......Haha.
-
Up until the "taking of the knee" I thought we looked pretty good..........after that we were shit.
-
We are "officially" in a relegation battle and we are "officially" shit.

Saint Keef replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
Probably Declan Rice.....he's apparently worth over £100m according to Moyes. Full credit to Moyes though for turning around that team. I for one, didn't think he had it left in him after a couple of poor stints elsewhere. I really hope that loan doesn't backfire on them...................................................ok, being honest.......I really hope it does! -
So the next time he pulls on a Saints shirt, gives a 100% for the team, happens to score one of his wonder free-kicks, you will stay seated, arms folded, with a glum look on your face, thinking "That's not right......he's a Skate.....and so are his family". I bet you felt the same (if you are old enough to remember) when Bobby Stokes scored the Cup Final winner. Personally I couldn't have given a monkey's toss where he was from when he scored. I can't predict whether one day JWP will make a big move, if he does - he does, but for fuck sake we should enjoy him while he's here and if he stays forever and continues to perform well then in my eyes he'll be a legend. You obviously disagree. My point was, he might actually like playing for Saints and might want to stay. I don't like that lot down the road any more than you but I would rather he was scoring those goals for us than for them.
-
Can I add wanker to that? Anyway Liverpool have a much greater need - a decent centre back. Possibly someone to partner VVD when he returns. Maybe Dutch as well. Step forward Mr Wesley Hoedt. They can get him relatively cheaply........."£4.50p and he's yours"
-
Maybe, just maybe, JWP is happy at Southampton. He likes being club captain, he likes living in this area. I don't know enough about his personal life, but maybe his family and roots are here. I'm sure he makes a very decent living playing for Southampton (and England) and doesn't want the "bright lights big city" move. Maybe he likes the fact that he gets picked for every game, rather than warming a bench sometimes in a bigger team. Le Tiss stayed loyal and he's a Saints legend because of it. Why not JWP? Imagine if Le Tiss had moved to a bigger club - he wouldn't have been held in such high esteem here. Maybe, just maybe it suits JWP to be here.

Shit! I can't find my black arm band....... A poem....in celebration of Liverpool's demise. Klippity Klopp used to be top With Hendo his number one skipper But not any more, now they're poorer than poor Congratulations all you bin dippers.

I don't like to criticize our own players, or as some do, openly abuse them on here, but I have to finally admit he looks like a spent force. He was appalling tonight. By far our worst player. I truly lost count of the times he gave the ball away to the opposition. He offers very little in attack these days, he's a liability defending, gives away needless fouls and he definitely bottled out of a 50/50 challenge tonight, just outside their box, which if he had won could (probably not though) have led to something promising. Time to move him on methinks......if anyone would want him based on current form.
-
I think I noticed a couple of differences between the two teams. When we got a corner or a free kick, Everton used a tactic known as DEFENDING. When they got a corner or free kick.....WE DIDN'T. When Everton passed the ball it more often than not went to an Everton player. This obviously confused Redmond, because when he passed the ball it also went to an Everton player. Bertrand was also confused. He obviously thought we were winning, because every time he got the ball, he would stop and waste a few seconds before eventually....pause.....after a few seconds.....pause.....he would......pause......pass it backwards. Bednarek was like a fish up a chimney at right back. He looked better when he moved back to the middle. The only positives were Armstrong who I thought was our best player by a mile and I also thought Djenepo gave his all again as well. In summing up though, I think it is fair to say, it was definitely Jack Stephens' fault!!!!
-
The one player we are really missing is KWP. We just don't look the same threat without him. I can't criticize Bednarek too much because he's being asked to play out of position, but he looks like a fish up a chimney.
