  1. Heard from a good source last night that the mlt/pinnacle lot have already approached a manager and if successful will announce the change this week. Watch this space.
  2. SMS,like many others is 'off the peg',pretty standard, pretty boring and petty sterile, but most importantly pretty cheap. Cutting edge and innovative costs money I'm afraid, something we have never had a lot of.
  3. Tbh I don't think they will learn from our mistakes. They reached their pinnacle last season and have been on the back foot ever since, harry is not stupid,he could see what was going to happen and jumped ship. They need to invest heavily to maintain their Prem status but are so much in debt they are unable to. IMO they have to be one of the favourites for the drop next season and I can also see at least another change of manager. I don't wish relegation on any fan but on this occasion I might make an exception.
  4. Tbh none of the Bidders inspire me or fill me with confidence..........I just don't think they have the money to make us anymore than a crap club in a crap league. If I were fry I would hang on a bit and see what the 'foreign' group have to offer.......it could be that they turn us into the richest club in the league but just need a bit of time to get it together. I would be ****ed off if the pinnacle bid was accepted only to find that there was a better bid just a few hours away but then again I would be equally ****ed off if the pinnacle bid failed and it opened the door for marc Jackson.
  5. Tbh it would help if we had a team to stick it on and a club logo to put on it,as it stands we ain't got any of that until somebody makes a decent offer for the club.
  6. In financial terms I would benefit as it costs me a fookin fortune to support saints..........pesky kids, but I would have to weigh that up against having to do other stuff on a Saturday afternoon, like shopping and keeping the kids entertained.
  7. It would be better to keep all assets in one basket IMO,selling the stadium to third party indicates to me that the bidder doesn't have the dish needed to take us furthur.
  8. Tbh they should of shutup years ago,i have no desire to know who they are and what they have to say,a good director should not be seen and not be heard IMO.
  9. So what you are basically saying is we ain't worth a w@nk and nobody is really interested in buying us?
  10. Exactly,it was basically a duck off request but I don't think that lowe or Wilde would have been interested in anything that crouch had to offer. If I was in crouch's shoes I probably would have done exactly the same, after all we were all calling for change and crouch was in a better position than any of us to do that, but I don't know wether or not I would have advertised what I was upto, just in case it went tits up. Crouch tried to do the right thing and if the £2mil is still spare then there is nothing preventing him from helping out know.
  11. so its not lowes fault because he came out and said the **** up happened whilst he was away, its not crouch's fault because he had a plan to get us up the table but lowe cut him short and its not wilde's fault because he was bullied by lowe into accepting his demands and when he tried to put it right with a british manager lowe went and appointed wotte..........so who is to blame?? it must be our fault, perhaps we are too demanding.
  12. tbh it is no offer at all as nobody in their right mind would agree to that. any one of us could say....'i will put £2mil into the club if lowe and wilde have gay sexual relations in the centre circle at half time and then cut each others throats' it was never going to happen so its a bit of an empty promise. it made crouch look a bit of a knob if im honest.
  13. We are also two seasons away from the premier league.
  14. Why is this **** still trying to justify his actions. Nobody wants to hear his weak minded side of the story, the best thing he could do is get a hosepipe from his exhaust and sit there praying that it ends soon.
  15. Perhaps there is a role for him at the club but not as manager.
  16. you are right it would be a sad day to see the club disappear for a relative small amount that could easily be provided by the sale of season tickets but the sale of season tickets is supposed to be for the club to prepare for the coming season not to pay for the previous one and this would be a disasterous move and would only delay the death of the club imo.
  17. I'm not sure if it is written in stone or not but I bet you would be upset if you shelled out your hard earned dollars on a season ticket and then the club went down the swanny after spunking it up the wall on paying the electricity bill, bogroll bill or euell's wages?
  18. If it means making the right deal for the good of the club then I am prepared to wait as long as it takes and so should you. No point in rushing, good things come to those that wait and all that.
  19. I agree with this,to use this forum or the echo could be a dangerous thing. I have a contact at the echo and frankly they havnt got a clue what is going on which to me is a good thing, the potential owners are doing a good job keeping it all hush hush. One other thing,if you wanted to get the council on your side who do you get to back your bid......the man who has the freedom of the city, the man who could virtually get away with murder in Southampton, the man who is a god to every saints fan.....letiss. It makes perfect sense to me.
  20. I'd say at least as bad as the championship if not worse. If you are not pushing for promotion then expect a tedious harsh winter in windswept old grounds with bad facilities. Even if we are pushing for promotion it is no guarantee that you will see decent football.unless we get a decent injection of cash we will become just another crap team in a crap league,we need to start fighting our corner from the off and we must not become the whipping boys otherwise we will quickly be dragged into another delegation battle and we all know how quickly that can happen.
  21. I am very easily dissapointed so you better have something good to report?
  22. ive got the same feeling im afraid,my feeling is we will end up with a 'just about scraped the money together' buyer and we will continue struggling financially for a long while. i think we all hoped that we would start the L1 campaign debt free with a few players who are too good for the league resulting in our pushing for promotion but i fear we will be just be another crap team in a crap league. i hope i am wrong.
  23. Do you think that this option will continue if we have a club to support of course? I have bought my tickets the last few years using this method and I would imagine that a fair few other season ticket holders do,so if the club (for whatever reason) is unable to provide this option then they might struggle to shift a shed load.
  24. Isn't that what happened at Weymouth? They all agreed to not play and then most of them walked away into another club forcing the owners to field a team of youth players.
  25. Kim marched over,he seemed to have plenty of energy ;-) Rudi wasn't in a fit state to talk to anybody......perhaps he turned up for training in the morning, realized nobody else was there and decided to go on the lash?
