Rudi skacel smashed out of his skull in the seashells pub in hythe last night on his own. Drowning his sorrows because of our demise or celebrating a big money move??
-
It is true he kept us up on a shoestring but the final year of his tenure was awful but my main gripe was his poker face, there was no showing of passion even when we scored and that unsettled me.I like to see a manager letting off a bit of steam on the touchline and celebrating a goal.
-
He was crap IMO,the kiddy fiddling thing done lowe a favour as it gave him an excuse to fire him.
-
Agree, although I am just as ****ed off with what has gone wrong in the past few years (for me since strachan left), I think we should be more concerned about the future and a fresh new start without the parasites involved.
-
Win lose or draw I always went on the **** after the game and usually before as well :-) I can understand why some would get upset by the players on the **** but they are probably celebrating having the chance to walk away from our ****ty little club into another club and nice pay packet

...virtually on a yearly basis that we now expect it. Although it doesn't do us any good,I for one look forward to it,but we usually end up with some cheap useless numpty which usually ends up depressing me. So why am I strangely drawn to this manager merry-go-round,perhaps it's in the hope of landing a gem of a gaffer in a 'keegan (European player of the year) signs for saints' moment.

The league would be better deducting 100 points, this would automatically stick you bottom with no chance to wriggle out of it. -10 points is a nonsense that will only end up punishing some and not others as in our case.

The referee last week - complaint update
lordswoodsaints replied to Fitzhugh Fella's topic in The Saints
He was clearly under orders to make life difficult for us and prevent us from winning but then again so were our players. -
When he asks the question then the majority of the answers will be 'no' I'm afraid. You can bet your testicles that there are many agents hurriedly trying to organize a move away from St marys....nobody wants to be associated with failure and the players will want to maximize their earnings and they won't be able to do that here.
-
I'm not renewing my 4 but that was always going to be the case regardless of what league we were in.I will be playing in the vets league so will only be able to make the odd game now and then.

A young, fresh, modern manager for us to unite behind?

Lowe & Richards in board room on Sunday at Forest....Confirmed by Club
lordswoodsaints replied to exit2's topic in The Saints
if he is planning on making a comeback (god forbid the daft cvnt) then there is nothing you or i can do about it.....apart from withdraw our financial support. if the administrators feel he is the person most capable of clearing the debts and keeping the club viable then they would have done their job,got paid and will move onto the next project. if true then it really doesnt surprise me,nothing surprises me anymore at the SFC looney bin........it is just a shame that it is allowed to happen and shows how ****ed up this world really is..............a bunch of useless cvnts are allowed to run a once well run organisation into oblivion and then the same useless cvnts are then allowed to snap that organisation up on the cheap and carry on as if nothing had happened, all the time making a handsome profit for doing so. you couldnt make it up. -
Barclays and Aviva: Something we can all agree with Rupert Lowe on
lordswoodsaints replied to trousers's topic in The Saints
in the last few weeks i have opened a business account with barclays and they have been about as helpful to me as bailing out the titanic with a tennis racket.....i have lost patience with them and will be changing accounts, they promised me the world when i took out the account but have done nothing but take money off of me for no return. -
im not sure about MLT 2 but i have been impressed with him so far,he is articulate and he seems to be on our side and fighting our cause in fact i would like him to be involved in some way when all the dust settles. only time will tell wether or not his input becomes an important part of saints history.
-
not better than what we have got imo. im sure that any consortium will want for us to be at least pushing for promotion to protect their investment money and i dont really think steve cotteril will be their choice for that task.
-
I don't know why you lot get so upset about harry,he took the job when we were two thirds relegated and was expected to keep us up with £90k.....ok I can understand some of you being upset by the Pompey link but to crucify a bloke for taking on a virtually impossible job is madness. Whatever you all think of harry you have to admit that behind all the self promotion and bull**** he don't do a bad job whichever club he takes on as long as he is allowed to do his job, something that he wasn't allowed to do here.

I would like 'welcome to hell' emblazoned in fiery letters.
-
Agree,I was at both games and I was on the pitch on Saturday,I was not involved in the stuff that some say they witnessed but it seems that our cat 'c' status gives us the wrong end of the Batton.
-
I note that there are a few people who are looking to form a 'new' saints team but is this a good idea or not? If the true Southampton fc ceased to exist then maybe it is,I can also see the logic behind the Wimbledon situation, but to support another 'saints' team whilst the other team is still around is nonsense to me. I support not just the current team but the history of the club, the teams I grew up watching as a kid,the memories and experiences I've had and the friendships I've formed over my 40 years of supporting. To support another 'saints' team would be a hard thing for me to do and I suspect it would be for most of the older generation of fans. To me supporting another 'saints' team is virtually on a par with supporting eastleigh or Bournemouth but I won't go as far a saying Pompey :-) Personally I probably wouldn't support any other team,Southampton based or not, I don't think my heart would be in it.
-
The problem is whichever consortium has the best business plan coupled with sufficient finances, as viewed by the administrators will get the gig......and there ain't a thing you or I can do about it. If lowe's consortium (if one exists) shows the administrators that his deal is the best one to clear the debts and keep the club viable then he will be the new king of the castle.
-
..going out of business and having a rupert lowe consortium what would you choose? Me,I would have to go with the lowe option,I would hate it but at least we live to fight another day. Perhaps we could have a poll mods ?

Thanks to the players for yesterday but...

His contract will expire soon and as we are unable to offer him a new one then it is reasonable to assume that he will be off regardless of what his daughter has to say.....it is a toss up between keeping the girl happy and not earning any money. If the new buyers are quick enough then this problem will not occur. -
Why don't you sell 1885 shares £1885 each, netting £3553225......not a bad start. I don't mind sticking my boots on again if you want,a 42 year old overweight striker would be a novelty IMO :-)
