I just find the whole thread a bit odd, the first post was amusing, but it's just become a rather weird, obsessive thread about a forum name being used by a person most people on the thread haven't met. And Sue, personally I don't see what harm a forum name has come to either, but hey ho, you crack on!

Thing is, I don't really know anyone who bothered by a boring review anyway, most people are loyal(ish) to certain brands and wouldn't touch other brands. My current cars, one I bought new in June and the other new in October. I didn't read any reviews, I just went to drive them and liked them and then bought. I honestly suspect that's the same for most people who buy a car? I might be wrong though, some people may be swayed as to whether one boring looking car is marginally better than another boring looking car. And let's be honest, unless you're buying some ridiculously priced car, they are all pretty dull to look at and pretty much the same to drive now.

Agree with this. Unfortunately, whenever I've seen a series where they talk cars, they've been utter, utter trash, with bad and boring presenting. Take Fifth Gear ... I have no words for how awful that program was (is?) with that bloody Vicky Butler-Henderson screaming and the boring bloke who I can't name. Tiff was the best presenter and he can properly drive.

No, it's pointless. It is meaningless data. What is the hypothesis this data is trying to prove or disprove? What are the outcomes and action points?

But you could say that from any point of the season. We should have beaten West Brom at home, not limped along to worst, most boring 0-0 draw in history. That one result alone would put us on 55 points, in 5th, 1 point behind Man Utd. You just have to keep grinding out results, simple as that.

I totally agree - I think the game is now simply so much quicker and the rules of the game are so much tighter then they used to be. Not that long ago, you could tackle from behind, clatter players etc and even now a slight contact means certain players will fall over and it all happens very quickly. Benefit for those watching on TV and the pundits is that you see in ultra slow motion, retrospectively, so it's easier to make a decision. I do actually believe we should now have an official watching a TV and we should (unfortunately) have time outs like they do in Rugby, just to check the right decision has been made. In the past, I didn't believe in that sh*t at all, but now I think we need to move with the times.
