Smoker for 30 years , gave up on new years day and with the aid of champix found it very painless no nasty side effects , you do need to want to quit though , get yourself to the quacks and talk to him and good luck but to be fair saying you want to give up you are part of the way there .

The latest money making ruse from the skates As the season enters its final straight, we need your help to secure £30,000 for Pompey courtesy of a new competition from npower. All you have to do is visit the title sponsor’s Facebook page at http://www.facebook.com/npowerFootballLeague to grab your seat in the Fanpower Stadium application and start making noise about Pompey on Facebook and Twitter. The virtual stadium is made up of all 72 Football League clubs and each outfit has been given a target number of sign-ups based on their average attendance*. The first club in each division to hit this figure will win £10,000 from npower. Pompey’s golden figure is 14,545, so get on to http://www.facebook.com/npowerFootballLeague now and get your friends and family to do the same! Plus, there is a further £20,000 prize per division up for grabs for the club that makes the most ‘noise’ on average once inside the stadium. Running until June 1 2012, the more ‘mentions’ and ‘status updates’ on Facebook that include Pompey first-team players’ surnames, the manager’s surname, Fratton Park, Portsmouth and Pompey – as well as ‘check-ins’ to Fratton Park – you make, the more chance we have of securing the money. The same also applies to your Twitter accounts with points given per mention, so help support Pompey and make some noise now! Let’s show the rest of the Football League why we have the best fans in the land. *Club figures are based upon average home attendance figures during the 2011/12 season up until 30th January 2012. Ts&Cs apply From official skate web site

From the telegraph Pompey proposal Last week, this column asked which British football club might be attracting the interest of Canadian billionaire Mitchell Goldhar. The retail developer owns Maccabi Tel Aviv but has been approached to buy into football in this country. It seems that he has been asked to get involved with financially-stricken Portsmouth. Whether he makes an offer remains to be seen. Scroll to the bottom of this page for the original: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/fo...p-with-Tottenham-Hotspurs-Harry-Redknapp.html

From POL I'm not sure clubs fans have the same feelings for the phew !! Wednesday, 07 March 2012 11:33 Scott Mclachlan A day in which Football Fans can come together Fans Reunited 3 - Portsmouth v Bristol City - Saturday 17th March 2012 The Pompey Supporters Trust in conjunction with @Fansreunited on Twitter would like to invite fans from all over the UK to come to Fratton Park and help support Portsmouth Football Club which is currently in Administration for the second time in 2 years and has grave doubts over its future. When Plymouth Argyle faced extinction last year, a Fans Reunited day was organised whereby fans of all teams were encouraged to attend Home Park wearing their clubs’ colours. It was a show of solidarity amongst rival fans throughout the UK. Thousands of football fans attended, supporters of teams of all divisions, from the Premier League, down to non league. In total, at least 50 different teams were represented at the match, with fans travelling from as far away as Falkirk to show their support. The supporters’ club laid on pre and post match festivities for all fans and a party atmosphere grew throughout the day. Rival fans stood shoulder to shoulder, ignoring their differences and proving that a shared love of football outshines any hostility. The atmosphere within the ground was electric, fans singing together as one voice, a multi-coloured stadium decorated with the shirts from 50 different clubs. The atmosphere spurred the players on and Argyle went on to win their first game of the season. At a time when football fans are often portrayed as hooligans in the media, this was an example of the good side of football. The day was publicised throughout the National news, within local and National newspapers, radio stations and featuring on high profile television shows such as Soccer AM, the Football League show and Football Focus, gathering a lot of support as a result. Every fan who attended this memorable day will tell you how much they enjoyed it and how successful it was. Shortly after, Plymouth were saved from extinction and now concentrate their fight on remaining in the football league. It would be a great show of support from the Football family if we saw fans from all over the UK come to the South Coast and spend the afternoon enjoying a game of football and for 90 mins help us all forget footballs ills. If you can't be there in person perhaps you might like to Donate to our Pay4aPal scheme that aims to allow fans to buy tickets for local kids, young adults and fans that either can't normally make a game due to hard times or are disadvantaged in some way. You can either Donate via this link on our 12th Man website http://www.pompeys12thman.co,uk/pay4apal.php or by a cheque made out to the Pompey Supporters Trust addressed to :- PST, Unit 2, 15 Rodney Road, Portsmouth, PO4 8TB. Please mark the envelope Pay4aPal. Last Updated ( Wednesday, 07 March 2012 11:35 )
