Closing down, off to get the train. The run back for the last train better be worth it!

Possible Additional 4K ticket for inter milan
suewhistle replied to wild-saint's topic in The Saints
Any update on that estimate from any evidence on how it's going for a 2er? I'd rather avoid discussing how I'm going to get a ticket over there as it tends to upset that delicate petal Turkish! ;-) -

Let me guess, Turkish is being a c**t again? [Ah yes..] I suggest you he does what I do, and he puts me on ignore, that way he can avoid constantly proving he's a tiresome, repetitive c**t. -
Possible Additional 4K ticket for inter milan

Well, I've got to wait for Friday (I think) to see if two aways will get me a ticket, and it looks like a close run thing so think the 5000 will go no problems. Flights, friend's flat and hotel booked so if this is an option I could well be interested. Plenty of people in the pub after the last home game interested but doubted getting tickets, and a couple already booked flights. More would book if there was availability. The Milan tourist board are probably pleading with the club! -
Last post for this tea break, but you may have read it in the news that Southern have changed their schedules considerably this year due to their incompetence, appalling HR and lack of staff. Last season for one evening game the train was cancelled and I got away from Soton so late that I'd have already been home if I'd taken the car. It's got worse since.

You're allowed to drink in pubs before the game. I find I can achieve a mild state of stress reducing anaesthesia for a whole match in this way.

Well, most of _us_ laughed..

Ha, ha, you're obviously talking from experience! Funniest example when I was teaching in school there was the tax official who suggested that I did private lessons and how much she paid (in cash, in the black..) for a teacher for her kid. Using your European driving licence will be the best bet, I reckon. Hopefully we won't need bars as we'll get tickets, but the internet should help.

Well, keep us informed. Quite a few special business motions there, but they must be used to being in the merde by now..
-
Danbert, you wouldn't?! :-)

Does Pilchards still hide in his tree?

I think they're happy enough with 80000 as that's two and a half times our capacity...
-
Milan will probably only get about 35K maximum for their game against us. The ground holds 80,000. Don't think what you point out is the evidence you need. Edit: maybe a few more if we all get tickets in the neutral areas..
-
Actually I shall probably drive, but I always like to have the odd drink before a game. Also the 5 minutes later KO could possibly make a difference: as it is I jog back to the station to be certain of getting the train I want. I could leave early, of course, but I wouldn't want to face your opprobium. As others have pointed out, it's a school night this year although I wonder if a few promises are being made: "we'll go to the knockout games!" Anyway, don't worry yourself Griffo that not everybody is the same as you.

Me too! If so going up to Manchester for that Friday night match might turn out to have been a very good idea!
-
Or relying on Southern Railways to get you home, late on a midweek night..
-
Wonder if they'll make the 300? [sorry, we've had that joke before.]
-
Well, the 4-0 predictions are wrong!
-
Yep, arrived this morning in the evil area of PO
-
Well, after that bout of negativity let's hope it's a forerunner of his first goal in open play on Saturday... :-)
-
I thought the moans last season were because we _never_ shot from outside the box and tried to walk it in..
-
I still haven't read it, but I did say I trusted your judgement. LOL
-
Thanks The9. I'm all booked up anyway, Turin on the Monday so I'll be having my 5 days whatever happens.
-
Does anyone have any inkling if one away (both this season and last) will get me an Inter ticket? I've still got an old expired Italian id card although the date is on the back: might help blag it if necessary.

You do know what "perceived reputation" means, don't you?
