  1. cazzo 3-2
  2. Well, the one I remember was the 2-2 where Le Tiss scored from a free kick. The pitch invasion was fine, a moment of tension and then they clapped our away fans. I was with a car load of us who managed to get into one of the side stands, although we got separated a bit. The guy next to me realised I was Saints and we had a good chat about Le Tiss: he was very complimentary. A friend was also sussed by a little nipper who started pointing at him and shouting abuse, although to give the rest of the crowd credit they weren't bothered. Mate says "Shut up you little squirt", to which obese parent replied "Don't you ****ing swear in front of my kid". A classic..
  3. With their owners it's just as well the kids have to leave early...
  4. It still isn't.
  5. How did your first day back at work go? :-)
  6. You may all thank me. Went to my lucky pub and had a "few" pints of Hole Hearted, felt the tension, my agitation and blood pressure rising. Even at 1-0 down I felt we'd score and was even thinking it was time for Davis to step up, but!!!? I'm off for another cuppa and Amlodipine...
  7. CALLING 'the9' to "the possible permutations to get into Europe thread" which this has now become...
  8. Another comment from him : "How are there still 11 players on each side?"
  9. I've only been following on The Guardian live comments, but it seems er.. quite a match and as the journalist commented 'Tottenham have lost it'..
  10. I think Trouser's summary does the job - the sacrifices that Nutjob makes, it's admirable..
  11. I like my leathers Long..
  12. On the OS now. Somebody has a sense of humour - the list includes: "A haircut with Graziano Pellè and his barber."
  13. I wonder what fool at The Times though 'status handbags' were so important? A call out to the mutinous journalists on their sportsdesk though: http://www.theguardian.com/media/2016/apr/27/times-hillsborough-protest-front-page-twitter
  14. I suggest some of you read the conclusions of the enquiry - this is in a handy form: http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/2016/apr/26/hillsborough-inquests-jury-says-96-victims-were-unlawfully-killed The new match commander didn't have a clue, arrogantly made no effort to inform himself of the nature of his command (compare with previous commander) and then lied for years even through previous enquiries. The police sought, as some have on here, to blame the nature of football fans for their own failings and lack of professionalism. I was mislead at the time by the 'drunken football fans' narrative, but this latest enquiry proves that the campaigners were right, and right to continue their fight.
  15. He has, but his first touch is still lacking. He did seem to improve in the second half so maybe some of it is a confidence thing. Still no Pelle on the control but he did bring other players into it with his heading, and as I mentioned above got past Jones who wrestled him to the ground. It will be interesting to see him in some of the pre-season games alongside more experienced players, as with the comment above about Hesketh. And again STEVE! I paid back on the 23/03. Can you update my membership, ta!
  16. I see Phil Jones is still bringing his rugby league techniques to soccer. Nice to see Gallagher skinning him!
  17. Still not sure about Hesketh, but Jones looks promising.
  18. At St. Marys, just kicked off against Manchester United, and for us more distant types on Youtube via the OS.
  19. Half these brands I've never heard of, so perhaps they do need to raise their profile?
  20. Why should they do it publically; it's enough that the important people in their life know. When the situation comes out they'll no doubt be a few saying they're "flaunting" their sexuality; with the bigots you can't win. I used to go sailing with a gay skipper who lived up in London in the early 80s. He had no interest in football, but knowing of mine he told me that then he knew (or knew of) quite a few gay professional footballers..
  21. One paragraph had 36 words in it! 36! (Albeit all short ones).
  22. I see Eastleigh still have a chance of making the play-offs.. Brighton doing well..
