Jay Rod and Austin to destroy the Prem next season :)
suewhistle replied to Roboze's topic in The Saints
You have to presume the coaching and medical staff know what they are doing (those sprint speeds, for example). But those of us who can only go by what we saw at the end of the season, "running though treacle" I think someone said, have legitimate worries. -
You're mad! I say that in a respectful and chuckling way mind. :-)

Leicester have decided not to sell their best players

Yes, at first glance I saw the value-laden title and thought it was from Alpine... -
Perhaps we could get Seamus Heaney to translate him into modern English. Anybody got an ouija board?

It means that something is happening and the club no longer want juicy tidbits fed to the fans. Or nothing is happening and they don't want to compromise their ITK status by saying something and being held hostage by their words. Terms and conditions apply and other reasons may be valid.

Well, we have a few outliers and contrarians on here.. Not from any personal conviction, just to _be_ 'clever' and contrarian. You may insert your own candidates to this description, but I wonder how the cazzo the club view _them_?!

Might be worth scrutinising his expense claims...
-
No, but I think they make you a creditor if the club goes into administration..

I get it: she kept on saying "notnowcato".

Showing my age here. I remember him, and seem to recall he ran with an alert, head up style, although wouldn't trust my memory any more...

Cheers. Had a great awayday with you last season. Hope you sort out your own ownership issues, but at least you've now got a manager who seems to know what he's doing.. Hope we get one too!

From the article: But his spotters’ video evidence will now be handed to French authorities attempting to track down Russian hooligans who attacked their English rivals. He appealed for any fans with their own cameraphone footage to contact the Crimestoppers helpline on 0800 555 111. Roberts said: “We would urge anyone with cameraphone footage which may identify the people responsible to help us. “Our original intention was to use this kind of evidence against England troublemakers, but we are equally anxious to see Russian hooligans brought to book and will cooperate fully with French authorities investigating the disturbances.” Based on what he said, and the shock of his reaction I rather believe him. I've no issue with England fans who instigate trouble being caught, although I appreciate that the 'instigate' part is a problematical one.

..and whose fault would that be? I went to Alan Knight's testimonial when they played Saints: I live near Portsmouth, a sunny day and I thought the guy's loyalty was worthy of my appearance. The Portsmouth 657 old boys all appeared and spoilt the whole day. Alan Knight himself was embarassed as anything. On Thursday I went to a new place for footie training in Havant. I grabbed a clean top from the drawer, which happened to be an old yellow Saint's away strip. One of the coaches told me, "Don't wear that round here, they really are animals", and he's a Pompey supporter!

Jeez, just one glance was all it took to tell me that the article was like Factless Allen on speed!
-
That was my suspicion. Experienced as we are with the bills left all over the place by a club that play in blue we asked for the money up front, and the guy hasn't got it to hand, like many ostensibly rich people.
