  1. Are you a **** in absolutely every post you make on here? It's a remarkable record. Perhaps it comes naturally or maybe you do a fair bit of training. I admire your consistency, in any case...
  2. Just got back from a night out in Portsmouth with the 18s and over from my footie team. Jeez - how depresssing, with arsehole doorstaff, and our coach not being allowed in to a couple of places. The place is grim and, as proved by my visit to Fatpipe Park the other week, falling apart.
  3. Whilst I agree with a lot of what you say it should be pointed out that although MU's turnover is massive they were bought by the Glazers in a leveraged buyout; an expensive purchase with expensive (due to the risk) _borrowed_ money. The Leibherrs bought Saints cheaply from their own resources so I reckon they've got more room to manoeuvre, even if the profit motive ultimately remains the same.
  4. By what someone is prepared to pay for him. In addition to your criteria: potential, ability to contribute to the _new_ team, and probably a few other things besides, like league position! But if it helps you feel better by all means talk about grannies stinking of wee [charming] and . We are undoubtedly all disappointed about his performances, but most of us are probably thankful that you aren't in charge of motivating players at St. Mary's.
  5. Probably?
  6. Any update on this?
  7. They were all fat and smelly too. One of the team mums who came said she had to move because they smelt so much!
  8. Yep, I was there tonight, and very good value it was at £1.50 for a group ticket through my footie team. I didn't risk the loos, but gawd, it's a dump, although possibly not too bad for a fourth division or conference team. But it is falling apart... our goalkeeper sat on one of the tip up seats and it fell apart under her. Evidence available on my phone.. :-) Bit unfortunate if that's a regular season ticket holder's seat as it'll probably take them a bit of time to repair it... There was a load of Fenerbahce Ultras making a tremendous racket and adding to the atmosphere, and what do you know, unlike TCWTB, their drummer could actually play.
  9. That's very juvenile. Hee hee.
  10. And 10 seconds later we all knew on here.
  11. No one on here either...
  12. DM waxing lyrical about the volley...
  13. With me it's more horrified fascination! ;-)
  14. Needs a bit of editing at the end.. [content fine though :-) ]
  15. Guess where I am going this Thursday evening.... I shall give you a full run-down of the state of the ground as I find it. Bearing in mind the state of the loos I won't have a drink before I go, and as it's a women's international they'll be a more than average demand.:-) Just wondering whether I should wear my old yellow away shirt..
  16. I bet you're fun at parties..
  17. I think your only inaccuracy, as they don't actually own, just have a pretty certificate that can't be sold on the market. Plus there isn't really anything to sell, is there? Assets, thriving concern, big customer base, goodwill???? Mwaahh ha.
  18. Own up, who was it?
  19. I think we'd pretty much all agree with you there. For what it's worth, I think people are more sympathetic to Osvaldo as he seems so up for it all, even if he's not getting the goals yet. Ramirez's body language is a bit more negative when he plays, he's worrying too much to perform well. But if we want to do well it's great to have such a quality bench: a mixture of competent and quality today. The three who came on didn't disappoint, and I reckon the others would have slotted in well too.
  20. Fleetwood? Didn't know they had a league team. What about that other club thats started in non-league as a fans team to maintain footballing integrity, where are they these days??
  21. I know the teams below have a game to play but the table still looks nice!
  22. Glad to see Cork on the bench, wonder why he wasn't there before. Wouldn't it be great if everything clicked into place for once, though I'm not feeling particularly optimistic.
  23. No, but Turkish is. It's all about context, boys. Poor little English boys in the Alps not getting a game and giving up, I was offering a more positive alternative to our resident depressive, and giving Turkish another hook to bite on. He's like Pavlov's dog, it's quite funny really, and I'm not going to letting the bullying ****er stop me posting. I do my own personal sweepstake as to whether he'll post just after me, and how quickly, and so far won it every time.
