  1. I was wandering down tonight for a pint in my little 'Ampshire village when this van pulled out of a side road in front of me. I saw the Pompey stickers, the PFC licence plate and had a quiet laugh and a chorus of 'Blue Square' (to a well known air [blue Moon] ), then saw 'The Petersfield Boookshop' sign on the side, and felt all durty...
  2. Pitch doesn't look too bad (some of us still play, dontcha know!:-) )
  3. Genuine laugh out loud cackle from me..
  4. Oh, back to the football... I've seen very little of Bale, (not since he was a kid anyway:-) ), but he is one level above his team mates. Although I don't think it's always very profitable to speculate about a team with/without one particular player there is no doubt, going by the dodgy thread of our game against Spuds I watched, he is a match winner, no doubt at all. We'll see, no doubt, but I think he'll be replaced by better team performances rather than a more effective individual.
  5. Good oh, does that mean you won't be posting any more? If you call other people "happy clappies" can we call you a bed-wetter? If you call people "utter deluded bigots" can we call you likewise, and add "fat alpine" in front...? I know you're a bit obtuse Alpine, but do you never, ever stop to contemplate how you come over on here? Leaving opinions aside you are one of the most offensive and negative people on this board, in my opinion, and it really takes a lot to make me arsed enough to write.
  6. Have a look at the Novatech range. They sell them without all the annoying bloatware you often get on a standard machine.
  7. Swear box. Started off empty....
  8. Ah you see, when you are an elite sportsperson like I am [not]....
  9. Hmmm, Newcastle/Portsmouth relegation double..? For the price of a couple of pints/bottle of wine which we could all do without and wouldn't notice you could potentially have a very nice holiday... or stock a whole cellar!
  10. Good summary. I never had much time for Lowe but I recall when Walcott had made n appearances for us Swindon were due an amount which arrived before they'd even remembered it was due. I think sell on percentages should definitely be part of the deal. Even a small percentage could be worth a bit to a nursery club down the line.
  11. Where's Pilchards? They didn't cut his tree down, did they?
  12. Hmmm, should we be worried about the one out?
  13. "Ever Banega can report income more or less interesting to the Valencian club battered economy, so it would not be surprising to be put on sale. Offers by the player not lacking but the truth is that the last word will coach Djukic." Doubt it somehow, Djukic might fight to keep him but reckon the final decision will be financially based. Certainly Banega would earn more with a Premiership side..
  14. "its", FFS, we don't want to descend to Mack's level of literacy! (Sorry Mack.:-) )
  15. C****t, just beaten 2-0 by Egypt. Misplaced passes, poor finishing, awful! Pleased to say that JWP looked one of the few with any quality: one misplaced pass on 28 minutes and good movement, tackling and passing. But apart from that the team were dire: Bartlett, Pritchard, Cole all awful, Kane missed a sitter.
  16. Interesting point, if nothing else all this talk is certainly raising our profile!
  17. Yep, it's past June 16th.. Not sure about "manèged": is that a pony reference?
  18. And you're boasting about it?!
  19. Christ, that's rich coming from you spouting your Daily Wail tripe.
  20. i.e. to add reinforcements to the squad list..
  21. You could see why _he_ wasn't..
  22. Try La Stampa, I was reading it in a bar earlier. No names associated with Saints, and I didn't read the article thoroughly or quite understand the mechanism of how they played about with money, but they noted it was mainly Agentinian, Mexican and (??) Chilean clubs [and ahgents] involved. Agents who didn't want to 'play' were dismissed.. (edit for another bit I recall)
  23. Well, _that's_ certainly true!
  24. I suggest they return the clock. Not working, of course, perhaps with the hands set at 3 o'clock. Then if the new club want it repaired they can try and find a firm who will do it for them, big deposit in advance and payment before restitution. Clock repairing can't be a very big industry: I suggest that they'd struggle to find a willing firm.
  25. Hmm, I can't get onto betting sites where I am at the moment unless I faff around spoofing my IP address, but I'll be in the UK shortly. It's quite difficult to call, I agree, but the implosion scenario wouldn't be an entirely unlikely event.
