  1. No, we're just all fed up with your repetitive, wind up straw man arguments. Some of the posts on this thread are primary school level. Anyway, I'll try to get a ticket, but won't bother if I have to go all the way to Soton for the bubble; from where I live it would be quicker to cycle.
  2. Yep, I could well be in my usual football-watching local pub in the PO10 area. The regulars will be fine but it's possible there could be a few occasionals, and it only takes one idiot.. If I can get a ticket as a ST holder I probably would, but not if it means the only way to get there is a bloomin' train from Southampton.
  3. Last time I was at Fratton for a Saints game it was for the Alan Knight testimonial and we were kept in nearly an hour and rocks kept being chucked into our end. When we were finally got out I had to nip through the police cordon as I wanted to drive back to the east and an escort to the station wasn't helpful! Went back up an alley but wasn't wearing colours so had no problems. They're an even odder bunch than some of the guys on here. Many of my team support Portsmouth so if it's on the Wednesday I can see training being called off. Saints must wine or like Monk I'll gets loads of grief. PS: Monk, aren't you working for Chelsea anymore, was hoping to scrounge some equipment this year!? If you're working for Portsmouth we've a few old cones we can let you have..
  4. If you're from the 18th century with an IQ of less than a 100 like SKD don't buy a ticket. Utter fool. Portsmouth level thinking.
  5. Nor did the defender..
  6. There's a bit of a dichotomy in our desire to have the team play livelier football - we were slow today for much of the time - and the risk that players bomb forward or try imaginative balls and are vulnerable to losing possession and the counter. I think the win today was more important than the manner of it, although both goals were delightful, and will have given a particular boost to the players concerned as well as the team as a whole. I thought Danso was fine playing out of position, and it looked like he was under orders to play it safe in his first game. It will be interesting to see where he plays when Bertrand is back. The game against Fulham is quite useful in its timing as it gives an opportunity to bed players in and maybe experiment a bit more.
  7. No umlaut. Disappointing.
  8. Can you speak fluent Geordie? Dialects can be significantly different in some languages. There's certainly a very big difference between Hochdeutsch and schweizerdeutsch, so can any German speakers on here comment?
  9. He has a point, as we try and farm out FF, Carrillo, Elyounoussi and get some sort of fee for Lemina.
  10. It's what I normally feel about your posts.
  11. I was in a hurry plus being lazy this morning but there's quite a number of apps that will give you the information. I sue the one from crosscountry trains, but there are others I believe.
  12. Dunno, I'd say we had some of the best moaners in the business.
  13. I don't think so, but that's without checking. Thinks it stops at Swanwick.
  14. Ho hum. That was a bit like watching football down the local playing fields where the taller, stronger and more experienced team wins, often with a big hoof to take advantage of the wind; but you don't expect it to be your own tallest player to make such a hash. First half was OK but the collapse was embarrassing, and we need to be far stronger in midfield. Let's hope PEH's illness is just a short term one as he didn't look right when he came on. Maybe Yoshida in defence and Danso can push forward a bit? There do seem to be a few on here who enjoy a good gloom fest, mainly so they can point the finger at all the optimists and say I told you so. Personally I stand at the middle of the see-saw, that way I don't go up and down so far.. Definitely a learning experience though.
  15. Or how many training sessions. FWIW I'm mildly surprised, but unlike with Hughes or Pellegrino I have more confidence in RH's choices. Wouldn't mind seeing our tall defenders eventually getting a goal from a dead ball situation; they've been decidedly lacking the last few years.
  16. You haven't a clue, have you?!;-)
  17. Well, the media guys obviously don't get up early like us retired types.;-) Nothing on the OS yet.. Besides his height I think his importance for us will be his pace, which we don't have much of in our defence.
  18. What was Cabbage banned for? Apart from being a plonker and PITA?
  19. I'm back. :-(
  20. I'm off to the OS.
  21. Trying's the word. Very.
  22. Off for a second bottle, dammit. No further comment, it just gets imaginations working overtime..
  23. S*d the pot of tea, I've opened a beer. Gawd knows what Ohio Saint is doing, I'd probably rather not know..
  24. Pace again! A bit raw perhaps but it does sound like a Ralph sort of signing if true.
  25. Just to let you know that didn't go unnoticed..
