Yes, but gets tiresome pretty soon..The trouble is that trolls like Glasgow spoil it for everyone, and render us cynical when new posters turn up..

Well, our game won't be a priority for TV, that's for sure!

I see Tyreke Johnson scored a nice goal.

I was wondering about going over for the women's world cup there but couldn't get a ticket, and didn't want to risk going over there on spec and getting a ticket locally, which is often possible at these events. It would be easy enough to do without a car which would keep the cost down: the stadium is on the main road out of town and we pass it every year on our way skiing, but it's no great distance. Le Havre was battered during the war and it has been rebuilt like Southampton but without the charm and the walls.. 😉 If you did take a car there are some more attractive places around - Honfleur on the south side of the estuary for example. It's not a bad idea for a long weekend. The slow overnight ferry is comfortable if you get a cabin and you get in about 8.30/9, but not sure of the return timetable as we normally return via Caen which gets us into Portsmouth early evening. PS: we're starting a reserve team this year, not sure where you're working these days but any materiel going spare?:-)

Right, so who's going on the pitch at the end. Obviously a bit more of a challenge this year...

So dodgy stream or pub then!

Well, if it was it certainly made the point. I thought Vokins did ok, good pace, technique and always showed for the ball. Smallbone was slightly anonymous but he doesn't worry me in possession like PEH does. Vestergard has his moments, but they aren't generally defensive ones: some decent passing occasionally and that shot deserved a goal. As for the rest, I think you should make some allowances for the intensity and frequency of our games recently. But no disputing our thin squad although having Djenepo or Boufal against a tiring Brighton might have been interesting.

I received mine on Monday. I don't know if the code is linked to your name, it's certainly linked to the game. If the local pub is showing it and it's quiet and safe in there I'll publish it on here and first come, first served.

On the question of renewing I wonder how much our form since the restart will help take up? It was all pretty dismal before lock down but I feel much more optimistic about next season now. I probably will renew but wait for another credit card statement day to pass. It's a big chunk even if we get refunds for the games we can't attend. At least if you can't make games because of work or other commitments it'll probably be easier to lend your ticket. Last winter there wasn't much interest in mine when I went on holiday..

I think he does have the makings - like Chez I thought he was slightly unfairly singled out for the Martial goal. The forward was running him at speed but didn't get round his outside but was forced in to the more congested area where Stephens should have done better getting a block in. He may not have the height for the high crosses but he doesn't give me the same level of uneasiness as I had when Cedric was dealing with them, and as we saw from his head injury he isn't afraid to go for it.

Shouldn't there be an "=" sign? -
Whey hey, just back from the pub and my first post-lockdown pints. Must have washed my hands about 7 times, very quiet (apart from me!) and a table to myself.. Aside from the decent result I thought we played some excellent football - moving the ball around, people making themselves available (and that's the sign of a good team..), first time and accurate passes. We never gave up and just suffered a bit from their forward pace. Will definitely have to renew my season ticket!

I don't know anybody, whether a neutral or a Spurs fan who thought he was a good appointment. Given Levy's reputation as a hard headed business man you would have thought there would be performance clauses, but certainly given the debts for building the ground financial considerations must weigh heavily. Perhaps they'll sell Kane.. 😉

Drat. Shame about the result, but the good thing is that we are disappointed about not winning and should have done. Trying to take out my own bias but I think we were the better team. When you look at just how inexperienced our bench it makes you reflect that if we could have put Boufal or Djenepo on their fresh legs, pace and trickery could have made the difference.

At around this time you used to get people posting on here "which pub are we meeting in".. As that has gone by the board perhaps we could have "what beers have you got in the fridge?". Or where it applies "what Burgundy domaine are you having tonight?". I've got a few bottles of Proper Job.

🙂 You won't like why we don't like Stoke then!

Adrian Heath..

Ooh, it's a six-pointer with Everton tomorrow!
-
I'll wait. Doesn't seem right to short cut the usual way!

I am so tempted to lift that and send it to a few people, but in the interests of community relations and living in a PO postcode I'd better not...
-
Nah, I normally agree with your analyses, but on that bit I disagree: he got his head to a few vital balls and I thought at the time that he was better than Cedric in that respect. He might not be the be all and end all, but in the last few games he's certainly looked a lot better and may be worth keeping. I didn't think that earlier in the season.

Jingle bells, jingle bells, jingle all the way, Oh what fun it is to see Southampton win ...at home?!! I think my heart rate is slowly going back to normal after that second half..

I see no mention of large private yachts: it's not happening.. -
What _is_ the penalty for sexual assault? I'm only following the game on a MBM, but what is the prognosis for Citeh's performance against us on Sunday? On a short high, on the beach?
