He should definitely have done better with the second and seemed a little slow to think about taking a step before responding to the first, albeit pretty special strike. The thing about having no competition or back-up should he get injured has been a worry for ages.

The ref was appalling and we should definitely have had a penalty. But yes, it doesn't hide the paucity of our attacking play. Just floating it up to Pelle for him to lose it is not good enough. Still, it did show how short of being the full CL ticket we are. I think getting a Europa spot could be pretty debilitating for a club of our size, unless we bolstered the squad significantly to cope with the extra injuries/games/travelling etc. Certainly think it pales in significance in terms of attracting/retaining players when compared to CL qualification - which could be massive game changer.

Matter of taste I suppose. I quite liked them. This season's looks so bad (personally speaking) even my 8 year old says he'll wait until next season.
