I've given up trying to predict Saints results. One game we look good going forward but a shower of sh*t at the back, the next we look solid at the back but toothless going forward, the next we're OK all round but can't finish, then there are games where just about nothing of note happens. Oh, and the occasional game where we throw in some horrendous experimental lineup and it's a disaster. My prediction - frustrating result.

Saturday 3pm and Tuesday 7:45, players who actually give a sh*t and graft like hell for each other, English core, amazing away trips and none of this Premier league day-trip plastic-ness. Millwall away still one of my favourite away days ever.

I think it does. Crowds can lift teams, and it's always a better away day when we're up for it and making a racket. Shame it's so rare these days.

'Unspectacular' is being pretty generous. I was baffled about the fact he started ahead of Cedric in Denmark, he could hardly control a 10 yard pass and looked terrified every time the ball went near him. Ron must see something in him though as he's been getting some minutes, but it really doesn't look like a simple case of being rusty. Either way, I'd say he's the most likely to find himself out of the squad as people return from injury. Yoshida can cover at RB if Cedric gets a knock.

What's our best realistic Prem finish? Europa league places. What's the point in striving for that, qualifying, then making a half-arsed effort when you actually get there? We should go for it in every cup competition we enter. Ron has said as much, but I think he's losing the plot. Setting up like that and playing hit and hope long ball sh*te against a team that know exactly how to deal with that sort of thing is just baffling.

If we set up with 3/5 at the back, Martina starts, or the game plan is to lump it long to Pelle and see what happens, I can't see it being much fun on Sunday.
