That front 6 is scarily good

Lambert was the Championship's top scorer and player of the season, and is still only 'decent' as a striker in the Prem. Quality for us, but only decent compared to the rest of the league overall. Billy Sharp was 'decent' in the Championship, not enough for the step up IMO.

Very obvious where it's gone wrong. Young girls go to Ibiza to work, money is crap for 6/7 days work a week. A LOT of workers in Ibiza sell drugs on the side to earn a bit more, obviously meeting suppliers on the way. They get them on board with some money up front and promises of loads of money on return, gullible young girls agree, then try to transport the stuff in probably the most stupid of ways. 2 young girls, carrying luggage with 'food packets' on a flight to Western Europe - might as well walk through the airport with a 'drug mule' t-shirt on.

Yeah Norwich is a pain to get to, miles away from anywhere. 4 1/2 hours from Southampton on the train but did it in just over 3 hours in the car last time I went up. I remember drinking at the Compleat Angler last time I was there for footy, think it was our last away of the playoffs season - good pub if the weather is good, right opposite the station and it's nice to be outside by the river when the sun's shining. Not far to the stadium from there either.

Will be going to this. I've got a friend who's a Norwich ST holder so will go up Friday for the weekend. I like Norwich as an away day, it's a decent night out too.

Bed wetting. Most of the clubs going for big signings have seen them drag on. There's no need to panic anyway. Even if we'd made no signings I think we'd have come back stronger than last season after a full pre-season with MP. Chill out.

If Spurs struggle to keep hold of their very best when the big boys come calling, what hope have we got? Yes it'll be very exciting to see just how good our current players become over the next few seasons, but if they all become as good as everyone is hoping, they won't all be playing in the same side.

Nice post if true. However the OP has posted a fair few stadium-loitering stories, I don't remember any of them being accurate in the slightest.

It's my top away game of all time. There are loads that are close, but it was brilliant. We had £25 on the Lambert hat trick at 25s, we didn't wake up with much change. Good memories.

Hooper over Bent any day of the week. I'd have Kevin Phillips over Bent, can't stand him. The vast majority of his goals are ones that are put on a plate and your nan could score, he probably scores 1 in 10 one on ones. Donkey. Plus he's one of them that would run to the corner giving it the big one even if one of his team mates had just skinned 5 players and laid it on a plate for him. Horrible player.

Goodwood last weekend, BBQs, pub gardens etc in the sun this weekend, Ibiza in 2 weeks, Royal Ascot on the 23rd, weekend in London at the end of June. It's nice to have weekends doing stuff without the distraction of football. I reckon I'll start to get fed up of waiting sometime in July though.

The thing with Holloway, for me, is that he thinks he's got banter. If you go giving it out, you've got to be able to take some, and he can't. That said, I'm glad it's Palace rather than Watford. Always had good times at Selhurst and Watford's loan army getting promoted would've been all wrong IMO.
