Hopefully something will happen on Page 3, if not 4...

So where will FOTA race? On the same circuits? Monaco used for 2 weekends? This opens up a lot of questions. However, i'm behind Ferrari all the way. They make the sport, FACT.

Before it is destroyed (and filmed to put on youtube), the picture should be copied, blown up to a super large size, and then when we run out against Millwall - break through the picture to signify the end of the Lowe reign. Like this:

Well Dowie has done some work for Sky recently (I think), the odd bit of commentary here and there. Maybe his soft side for Saints and a couple of meetings with MLT at Sky is enough for Le Tiss to consider giving him the job? Who knows. TBH, I can think of better managers to have than Dowie, but we have certainly had worse.

If someone was to tell all, then about 20,000 would flock to this place right away and it would be a right mess.

Take an iPod. Most of the new 'talent' is... rubbish. Though Doves, Kasabian and Bloc Party are good, its the diabolical hellish tormenting sounds of Kaiser Chiefs, and everyone who tries to copy them, that make life not worth living sometimes. I'd rather sit through repeats of the opening 11 minutes of Burnley v Saints than listen to some of that sh*te.

OFFICIAL: Southampton Football Club to be renamed

The pun is terrible. Usually when the pun is terrible, its funny anyway. Not in this case. Its that bad! -
Feels like a match day... so at the end of the day, what can we expect? A > The takeover to officially go through? B > A new manager? C > The reveal of our financial backer? D > An encouraging statement by MLT on player signings, future plans etc?
-
My initial guess was sloppy journalism... but you never know. Wouldn't be too bothered if he stayed around, he's proven he wants to help the club in a good way.
-
Could someone confirm/agree that there is a press conference tomorrow? I need to go to bed, and have an exam at 8:30 in the morning...

In League 1, 4 go down. In League 2, 4 go up. Simple.
-
There goes any hope of making the play offs!!!
-
But surely Keegan, who has got out of this division before, is better in League One than someone who may have been managing in it for a lot longer... but has never had the managerial skills to actually get out of it? He may have lots more 'experience', but this is because this manager hasn't been good enough!!! Keegan, on the other hand, has, and although my hope isn't exceedingly high, surely we can guarantee that he won't turn from maestro to plonker over a few lost brain cells (with age)?
-
As if there was any ever hope that everybody would just.... forget
-
Hopefully, if that is the case, it will finally be a defining u-turn. Poortvliet will come back to get us promoted to Championship, then Pearson, Dodd/Gorman, Burley before Redknapp takes us back to the Prem, before going back to Pompey and sending them down after a couple of years. Strachan will then take over, and take us to the 2016 FA Cup Final. Ideal.
-
How very interesting. Would certainly make me a happy chappy. Rather hear the news of Keegan signing than.... hmmm.... Gray, Wigley, Poortvliet, Dodd/Gorman et cetera
-
If we don't do it after the 5th match, I will be dissappointed. We desperately need a fast start. As far as i'm concered, if we lose to Millwall, that would be -13, and the form would drop, and the season could be a disastrous struggle. I'd say the first game of the season has never been so important, and hopefully this will be drilled into the players minds.

Isn't the 21st the shortest day? Anyway, go southern hemisphere!!!!!

Opening Game off the Season Sweepstake

Coventry away, think Egil Ostenstad got the winner - not sure which year though! I can't really be expected to know considering i'm 17 years old, and the Ostenstad era was so long ago that its up there with my first substantial memories of the club. -
Who else agrees that Australia's (?our?) World Cup bid will be a success? Enjoyed Kevin Rudd's smiley speech about a sport that is most probably relatively foreign to him!!! I actually think it's got a real shot, and will probably get the 2022 cup, with, hopefully England getting the 2018 slot. Wouldn't that be ideal?!?!
-
I remember reading something similar to this last year. Agreed that it's very interesting, and although it may seem like a nice job to have when you imagine it, it really isn't all its made out to be! Anyone read the replies below the article? Man Utd fans whinging that its against them all the time... pathetic... support a proper club ye plastics!!!

"Buggar."

I think he will do alright at his new club. Of that, I have no doubt.

Sounds like the choice isn't in Kelvin's hands at the moment, but i'm confident that when the takeover is finalised, getting his contract sorted will be one of the first priorities. I think Kelvin will know this, also, so I wouldn't be reading into sensationalised news stories.
