  1. It won't ever catch on like Christmas.
  2. I'm not sure that's any kind of thinking, tbh.

    M&S Advert

    Irony? From BTF? Wonderful!
  4. The ban for sub 100mph speeding was harsh. Unless it was particularly busy, wet or foggy that day.

    bbc iplayer

    Ouch... lol
  6. Fifth Gear tried that and it's been axed for poor ratings. TG gets BBC's biggest global audience. One of them has got it right for the current age of ratings wars.
  7. I didn't notice, no, but it makes sense.
  8. I wish he'd retire for once and for all.
  9. Don't worry, one of us will hit a midseason slump soon.
  10. One thing bugged me; Why run an electric car with the lights on permanently? Other than that, it actually raised a few sensible questions. Carrying a diesel generator, rather than powering the car by diesel itself, is actually a economical way of running on fossil fuels - if you don't mind a rather tepid top speed. It did out drag the GeeWizz, however. Mind you, I could do that without getting out of first, over 1/4 mile.
  11. It was a terrible song, for sure, but perhaps not that much of a disaster.
  12. I see what you're saying; you'd like to see The Wildhearts supported by Buckcherry.
  13. Golden Posts? Really? lol

    Twilight

Surprised you watched it, Baj. It has all the credibility of High School Musical.
  15. I dunno, Steve, but I had it down as 2-2 if that helps
  16. Scale speed is around 4 to 6 hundred mph, so I'd agree
  17. Oops, busted.
  18. It's all about the setting up, IMO. That's where the fun is. Racing (with anyone) was either carnage at every corner or just a case of who had the "stickiest" car, and there was always one which was faster on the bends than all the others. Recently I have even designed and made custom chassis for a work mate who still has a massive set up. That's the fun bit. I lose interest once it's lapped a couple of times.
  19. It's easy to say that now, dog hater.
  20. I used to beg and plead for Scalextric as a kid but when I finally got it I found it as dull as hell. The fun was over once it was all set up cos scooting round the floor, on my knees, picking up a car at every corner was irritating and even once max corner speeds had been established, watching it go round and round and round and round was interminable.
  21. Sense at last
  22. UK release tomorrow. Has anyone seen it offered cheap at a supermarket or anything?
  23. Lol, spazz. Everyone knows you don't have cars in Norway, only skidoos.
  24. That doesn't say that poor white boys attained the worst results, it says that they failed to meet expected targets more commonly. Without knowing the expected targets for each group that's essentially worthless information.
  25. F1 drivers are among the fittest guys on the planet. Jenson Button regularly enters and does well in triathlons. Mark Webber is a pro level cyclist. The list goes on. Believe me, for stamina especially, these guys would give any footballer a hard time.
