  1. Cortese bailed out because he knew we had hit the glass ceiling. The players agents would have already let him known that they want to leave and even with an owner prepared to throw silly money around (which we didn't have) we couldn't stop them going to Liverpool or Man Utd. Without a backer prepared to chuck hundreds of millions down the drain Cortese realised his Champions League ambition was just a pipe dream.
  2. I'm guessing if you were of Asian appearance, carrying a rucksack and looked agitated they would have been a bit more thorough.
  3. You would have to be naive in the extreme to believe Pochetino would not have gone to Spurs if Cortese had stayed. Are you 12 years old FFS? it's just an employee sticking up for his boss.
  4. But their batteries are **** so we would have to drop 25 million chargers within a few hours or the whole thing would be pointless.
  5. I would go for: -------------Forster ----Yoshida---VvD---Hodet Cedric-----------------------Bertrand ---------Romeu---Lemina ---------------Davis --------Long--------Gabbindini
  6. Apart from out performing Cortese's teams every season you mean?
  7. Yes change it, it looks like the result of a GCSE design project.
  8. Ok, a very very rich person's money to throw around. Didn't the current board inherit something like a £27mill debt of unpaid transfer fees and £30mill bill for the training ground from Cortese? "Difficult" is how I think the situation was described.
  9. It would if he didn't have a billionaire's money to throw around.
  10. no different
  11. Howe wanted full control of footballing affairs so turned him down - that's what I heard from a good source.
  12. Didn't ant Cortese to **** her money up the wall aiming for CL? Can't blame her.
  13. like...
  14. Has the dwarf said anything interesting yet?
  15. Yeah, and absolutely nothing to do with our billionaire owner dying and his daughter trying to flog the club.
  16. Think that's a bit arrogant to be honest - remember similar comments the last time we went down. Teams with better players than ours have got relegated before.
  17. On the face of it it is madness but it makes sense to act decisively if you think it's the right thing to do.
  18. Yes, and I remember him talking ******** in the press - sticking the boot in because we sold some players - the summer before we finished higher than he ever did. Poisonous little dwarf.
  19. Yeah good idea, half the squad on massive 5 year contracts and an owner who had to borrow the money to buy the club - what could possibly go wrong if we get relegated?!
  20. What does "reap what you sow" supposed to mean then numbnuts?
  21. That's ******, the club wouldn't give a **** about what's written on here or twitter - they would have made their decision based on the dull football and poor attendances.
  22. This but with Davis instead of Tadic.
  23. Anyone who thinks Puel was fired because of what a few people wrote on a message board is a ****ing idiot. No surprise to see a few on here.
  24. Wouldn't be surprised if the new owners wanted to bring in their own people anyway.
  25. I would try three at the back so that the wing backs provide the width (both Cedric and Bertrand are decent going forward). Then play two up front - I don't think any of our strikers are suited to playing on their own up front like Pelle or Lambert were. I would play: Forster VVD Hoedt Stephens Cedric Romeo Lemina Bertrand Davis Gabbi Long
