LOL I have heard it all now! Ruined his career by giving him a move to one of the biggest clubs in the World instead some ****e in North London. We made his career by making him look good enough to play for a top club when he clearly wasn't. He was never good enough for Man Utd, their fans all though he was ****e.

I'm assuming what I read was true because somehow everyone knows about the famous meeting in Blackpool, unless Saints had him followed by a secret agent you have to assume that info has been leaked by Liverpool, VVD or their agents.

Wasn't the reason Saints were so ****ed off was because not only did Liverpool tap him up but they leaked the fact that they met him to the press to try and engineer the move and lower the price? I remember reading something to that effect on the scousers forum. That's why they got a telling off from the FA, tapping up always happens but there is never usually any proof. There is tapping up and there is taking the ****.

To be fair, if it had been called Mohammed, the hurricane naming people probably would have got the old Charlie Hebdo treatment.

While the club's stance is admirable I would be tempted to just flog the **** and be done with it. Should get enough cash for a decent replacement and re-fresh our striking options. The club are in a difficult position and without knowing all the facts it's hard to criticise whatever they do.

It worked with Lambert, Lallana and co, the with Pelle and Mane etc. IMO we miss the presence of a Lambert/Pelle type, and the energy Lallana or Mane gave us. I don't see any of our current strikers as the type to play the one up front, we should either change formation or personnel.

I keep flip flopping between wanting to do this and just getting shot of the **** and using the money to strengthen the team. If we can get silly money for a centre back it does make good business sense, especially considering it is in attack we seem to have most problems.
