  1. Again, I'm not sure why what we have done historically is important, immigration has never been at the levels it is today so there has never been a serious need to control it until now. And the only way to have ANY sort of control is to leave the EU. If we were building the equivalent housing, schools and hospitals for the extra 3-500,000 that turn up every year I wouldn't have a problem but we are making cuts in services and still adding large and unpredictable amounts of new people every year - it's bonkers.
  2. Doesn't mean we can't control it in the future, immigration has never been as high as it has been recently thanks to the EU migration so you are clearly talking nonsense. 500,000 more people every year is rediculous. It could be more next year, we havn't got a clue and are completely powerless to do anything about it.
  3. Immigration is positive but uncontrolled immigration causes many problems and the ONLY way to have control is to leave the EU. Leave the EU and we can make immigration more of a positive. Stop the downward pressure on wages, help the housing crisis and release the pressure on public services. We can welcome people in from all over the World who have the skills we need. At the moment we are turning away skilled nurses from Asia because we are having to let in hundreds of thousands of unskilled people from all over Europe. Controlling immigration will also allow us to take in more refugees who are in need of help.

    ISIS

That is pretty scary if true, according to some bloke on the radio this morning the previous Russian incursions into Turkish airspace was purely to test NATO, looks like they might have pushed a bit far.

Verbal's right, OBL not getting a trial is unfortunate at best. I don't think the Yanks had much choice in how it turned out anyway, what they did was very high risk operation even without trying to take him alive. That is of course if he is dead and not in a shed in Deigo Garcia tied to a chair with electrodes on his gonads.
  6. Out, it's the only way to stop uncontrolled immigration. I think any economic benefits are outweighed by 500,000 more people every year needing housing, schools, hospitals etc. plus the downward pressure on wages will just carry on if we stay in.
  7. It could have been a different outcome without a Milliband win you thick ***t. It could have been a hung parliament.
  8. You can't have an unbiased press, I never said you could just that it was biased. Try learning to read.
  9. I never did. Fact is no one knows what the outcome would have been with an unbiased press so let's not pretend we do.
  10. It's nothing to do with being right or left, the media do have an influence, how much is debatable. Milliband would not have won regardless though because he was unelectable. If Labour had a decent leader and the press on their side there could have been a different result though IMO.
  11. I think you underestimate the power of the media and overestimate the intellect of the average voter.
  12. At the moment, just like A right wing (not centre right) government will not be voted for by the British public. Things can change though.
  13. Don't disagree with that, just had issues with the idea that everybody with wealth votes against higher taxes and a more even society.
  14. Reading bits of information online and making conclusions is never clever. If new evidence has come to light since and the judges clear him then fair enough but until then you have to accept the verdict unless you have been in the courtroom and seen all the evidence.
  15. They were left though, as opposed to right.
  16. Not really, he's still a convicted rapist at the moment.
  17. That depends how greedy and selfish you are. Some people don't mind paying more tax for a fairer more compassionate society.
  18. They were left of centre, so were a more left wing alternative to the conservatives.
  19. They were centre left, that's centre LEFT. Just like the current government are centre right. I suppose they are Labour Lite as well then?
  20. I thought they were supposed to be the reckless spenders who left the country bankrupt?
  21. Except they did three times in a row before Cameron got in.
  22. What a sh!t article. I agree with the fact thatt people voted conservative because there was no other option but that is so badly written, no substance whatsoever. It's just a load of insults, one of these pointless online features aimed at getting people to comment. All this " Labour won't get in power again" is all complete ******** and anyone who says they will vote for a party for the rest of their life is just a ***t.
  23. Even without fee's students rack up a sizeable debt. When I graduated I wasn't too bad but some of my mates were in double figures - and that was with no fees at all, just living costs, rent etc. Even if it is 30-40K that is more than older generations had to pay.
  24. I dunno, most oldies I know have ridden the housing bubble nicely and have decent sized pensions despite not even being particularly clever or hardworking. Things do seem particularly tough for the young nowadays, getting on the housing ladder is very hard, a decent education leaves you 50K in debt. Maybe the old should give up some of their pension to help pay off the debt they created?
  25. You have to feel sorry for Obama, you have seen on here the kind of ****-wits he is up against. Any developed country that lets this happen is just ****ing stupid. America has done some great things and there are some great people over there but the average Yank is thick as ****.
