I still refuse to believe Labour would be dumb enough to make him leader, I expect they are just having a laff with these opinion polls. I agree with his policy on Trident though, in our current financial state the very last thing we should be doing is blowing billions on a bunch of WMDs. Pointless and outdated.

As things stand at the moment he is unelectable. The only way a Labour Party run by him would get in is if the next bank crash happens before the next general election.

Probably, but "he wasn't interested in relationships, just sailing and music" raises a big red flag for me. I had a mate who got done for similar stuff and to say it was a bombshell to me, his family and friends is an understatement. Heath's friends opinions are about as relevant as yours or mine.

When one of the other candidates win by a landslide it will be portrayed as a great victory - a new Labour moving back to the centre, great for business etc.

Does sound good. Especially when in Holland "party atmosphere" usually means an array of drugs and strippers shooting ping pong balls out their arse.

But if we didn't have hundreds of thousands turning up from Poland and Romania every year a few who manage to sneak in via the tunnel wouldn't be a problem.

Quite easy to stop if we didn't want an open door policy, just withdraw from the EU.

No different to the hundreds of thousands who turn up from poor EU countries every year. I don't want an open door policy, in fact I agree with UKIP's stance on this, however all this hype about these people (who obviously are in a more desperate situation than the average Polish immigrant) does make you wonder if it is because their skin is brown.

France already take in more asylum seekers than us so they are hardly going to go out of their way to stop them entering England. Looks like most people on here would do the same.

Not really, if you are wealthy you are rich, the problem is the disparity between the people creating the wealth and the people getting rich. Some wealth creators are wealthy, but more and more in today's world it seems the people getting really wealthy are the people/companies who create nothing and just play the system - the agents, salesmen, speculators etc

Exactly, so wealth creators are people who add value to our lives, not people who make themselves rich.

So if someone makes a million by buying and selling some shares, what exactly have they created?

If some builds a house it is worth whatever it is worth regardless of how much money is in circulation. That's irrelivant anyway, if someone has built a house the wealth they have created is the house.

They can print more but at any one time there is only a certain amount of money. If some has a billion of the stuff then they have taken that off other people, they have not created anything.
