  1. I'm sorry but that is ******. Of course if you are a straight A student serious on being a doctor or something of course the debt thing is a no brainer. But most people are not and even without fees deciding to go to Uni it can be a hard choice between being skint studying something worthwhile or getting a job. IMO we should be encouraging people to get educated and pursue worthwhile careers.
  2. Student loans have never been like "real debt" but when I was 18 I was sh!t scared of any sort of debt. I worked hard between studying and left Uni debt free (apart from an almighty overdraft). I just think that sort of debt is more off-putting to people from families with naff all than rich kids. I know for a fact that I wouldn't have done my degree and would probably ended up in some soul-less career as a salesman or something (probably earning more) and some snotty rich twit would be doing my current job half as well.
  3. All I know is that I would never had gone to Uni if it meant getting into the sort of debt students do today. I'm not from a rich family and when I was 18 the idea of getting into debt scared the sh!t out of me, it was daunting enough moving away from home and finding the cash for rent etc let alone paying 10K a year fees on top. I expect the only reason more college leavers are going to Uni is the simple fact that job opportunities have been limited os for many it's a no brainer even with the huge debts.
  4. I agree, taking Mane off was a weird one, especially considering he has scored in each of his previous 4 games.
  5. It was obvious we needed to get another striker in January. Our lack of ambition will cost us.
  6. Why oh ****ing why didn't we get another forward in the window.
  7. Another tragic case I read about at the weekend: http://www.independent.co.uk/news/uk/home-news/the-tragic-tale-of-the-pensioner-who-killed-himself-after-begging-for-help-over-benefit-cuts-10029754.html
  8. We didn't live within our means.
  9. I don't think this money is good for the game at all, just means more foreign mercenaries and a sh!tter national side.
  10. It will be interesting to see how the rise of UKIP effects the previous Lib Dem/Tory marginals, you would expect most UKIP voters to be Tory defectors but some will be the protest vote the Lib Dems previously got. I think the Tories are right to be worried about UKIP though, the Eastleigh bi-election showed the Lib Dem vote holding up well down here but I expect where they are up against Labour the Lib Dem vote will collapse. Combine that with UKIP splitting the Tory vote and there could be some surprising results.
  11. So you agree that the current system means that unpopular parties get a disproportionate amount of the vote? Great system that.
  12. I understand the issues with PR but still think it's a much better and fairer system, candidates with little local affinity are parachuted in in the current system anyway. I think you would also get a better calibre of MP under PR anyway because you won't have areas where they would elect any old donkey if you stick a red/blue rosette on it. As for voting Green in the Eastleigh borough, I get your point but you might as well roll up your polling card and shove it up your ass for all the good that would do. At least by voting Lib Dem I can keep the tories out and maybe make a bit of difference. There must be just as many tories living up north who are frustrated by the system. It is bonkers.
  13. No, it's undemocratic because the current system means if you live in certain areas your vote is pointless if you agree with one of the parties that don't have a chance. Under PR if 10% of the people agree with Green policies you would get 10% representation in parliament - how is that not more democratic?
  14. Exactly.
  15. Not really, I would prefer the Lib Dems to the Tories and that's who won in my area (Eastleigh). Where I live if you're going to vote Green or Labour it's not worth the walk down to the polling station. I expect there are many Tories up north who feel the same.
  16. I disagree. Proportional representation is obviously the fairest method, it just doesn't suit the whole red v blue agenda. I would have voted green in all the past elections if my vote would have actually counted for anything, instead I've had to vote Lib Dem to try and stop the Tory candidate. I expect the same happens up and down the country, how is that a good democratic process?
  17. Of course there's a difference but you seem to think it's OK to perform sex acting in public toilets, how is a man performing a sex act (alone or with a partner) in a ladies toilet any less acceptable than a woman in a mans? I think you will find in the eyes of the law there is no difference.
  18. What's the difference? You should be able to go into any public toilet and not have to put up with listening to two scumbags ****ging or noshing off or whatever. It makes no difference if it is a man and woman, two men or just one bloke spanking the monkey. Well done to the guys who filmed it, I doubt this girl will nosh off many footballers in public in the future.
  19. Just because it is wrong to film people in loos doesn't mean it's OK to do what the **** you want in public toilets. Why do you think gays get such a hard time from the old bill? Like I said, I've nothing against sex in public but if you end up on a website it's 100% your own fault. Anyway, if I'm in the cubicle next door curling one out I might not particularly want to listen to some footballer slapping his c*ck round the face of some slapper.
  20. Yes it does.
  21. It's still a public place. i've nothing against sex in public, but if you partake you should accept the risks that come with it.
  22. Any shame or humiliation would be totally self inflicted for noshing off footballers in public.
  23. I think sex in a public place is illegal. If the slag is upset then it serves her right.
  24. Lallana has only played the full 90mins in 9 games this season. A f*cking awful waste of £25mill.
  25. This, plus Chambers looks like smug ***t with a w@nkers haircut.
