  1. If you think that is an example of good police work you are a f@cking idiot, it doesn't matter what country you are from. The copper didn't even have good reason to pull him over FFS. Typical example of a ****** cop throwing his weight around after having his ego dented. The kid wasn't even acting in a threatening behaviour until he was dragged out and Tazered. Land of the free, don't make me laugh. The way that cop pulled him over for no reason and demanded ID is more akin to Nazi Germany.
  2. On the subject of schools, how important do you guys think it is to go to a decent school? The school I went to was pretty sh!tty but I ended up going to uni and have a half decent job - but looking at the quality of some schools maybe I was held back a bit. I have a young daughter and the local Comprehensive (Hamble) looks rubbish (rated 3) whereas the one down the road, Wildern, is rated as outstanding but it's not in our catchment. Would it be worth moving house or paying for private or is it more down to the individual?
  3. I think I would only be in favour of them if they were targeted towards deprived areas or kids with potential from hard up families who could never afford private education.
  4. Oh sh!t, no one told me we had crime over here! Better go buy myself a firearm to shoot the bad guys before they get me. Won't be able to sleep at night now unless I have a pistol under my pillow - I guess that's what Liberty feels like yeah?
  5. We may be a bit worse off, we may be better off, we won't know unless we leave. To be honest I made up my mind after watching my wife go through agonising pain waiting ages for a qualified doctor in an overstretched hospital full of Polish and Romanians - in Southampton. My best mate is a builder who is having to compete with Polish guys willing to work for peanuts and a friend of mine had to wait for 2 hours for an ambulance whilst in agony because they were too busy. The housing crisis is a simple supply and demand problem, where is next year's extra 300,000 going to live? And the 300,000 or more that will turn up in 2017?
  6. Don't think it will be the answer to everything, just a price worth paying to stop uncontrolled immigration.
  7. Big difference is the UK's economy is the 5th largest in the world.
  8. Again, I'm not sure why what we have done historically is important, immigration has never been at the levels it is today so there has never been a serious need to control it until now. And the only way to have ANY sort of control is to leave the EU. If we were building the equivalent housing, schools and hospitals for the extra 3-500,000 that turn up every year I wouldn't have a problem but we are making cuts in services and still adding large and unpredictable amounts of new people every year - it's bonkers.
  9. Doesn't mean we can't control it in the future, immigration has never been as high as it has been recently thanks to the EU migration so you are clearly talking nonsense. 500,000 more people every year is rediculous. It could be more next year, we havn't got a clue and are completely powerless to do anything about it.
  10. Immigration is positive but uncontrolled immigration causes many problems and the ONLY way to have control is to leave the EU. Leave the EU and we can make immigration more of a positive. Stop the downward pressure on wages, help the housing crisis and release the pressure on public services. We can welcome people in from all over the World who have the skills we need. At the moment we are turning away skilled nurses from Asia because we are having to let in hundreds of thousands of unskilled people from all over Europe. Controlling immigration will also allow us to take in more refugees who are in need of help.

    ISIS

That is pretty scary if true, according to some bloke on the radio this morning the previous Russian incursions into Turkish airspace was purely to test NATO, looks like they might have pushed a bit far.

Verbal's right, OBL not getting a trial is unfortunate at best. I don't think the Yanks had much choice in how it turned out anyway, what they did was very high risk operation even without trying to take him alive. That is of course if he is dead and not in a shed in Deigo Garcia tied to a chair with electrodes on his gonads.
  13. Out, it's the only way to stop uncontrolled immigration. I think any economic benefits are outweighed by 500,000 more people every year needing housing, schools, hospitals etc. plus the downward pressure on wages will just carry on if we stay in.
  14. It could have been a different outcome without a Milliband win you thick ***t. It could have been a hung parliament.
  15. You can't have an unbiased press, I never said you could just that it was biased. Try learning to read.
  16. I never did. Fact is no one knows what the outcome would have been with an unbiased press so let's not pretend we do.
  17. It's nothing to do with being right or left, the media do have an influence, how much is debatable. Milliband would not have won regardless though because he was unelectable. If Labour had a decent leader and the press on their side there could have been a different result though IMO.
  18. I think you underestimate the power of the media and overestimate the intellect of the average voter.
  19. At the moment, just like A right wing (not centre right) government will not be voted for by the British public. Things can change though.
  20. Don't disagree with that, just had issues with the idea that everybody with wealth votes against higher taxes and a more even society.
  21. Reading bits of information online and making conclusions is never clever. If new evidence has come to light since and the judges clear him then fair enough but until then you have to accept the verdict unless you have been in the courtroom and seen all the evidence.
  22. They were left though, as opposed to right.
  23. Not really, he's still a convicted rapist at the moment.
  24. That depends how greedy and selfish you are. Some people don't mind paying more tax for a fairer more compassionate society.
  25. They were left of centre, so were a more left wing alternative to the conservatives.
