Er, we are not paying it back we are still borrowing - £13.1 billion last month.

It is a sign of how desperate the Tories are, Cameron would rather take the hit of being the chicken than face being taken to the cleaners by Farage. I guess 'Clegg Mania' from last time is still fresh in his mind. They must be really worried about their vote getting split. It will be interesting to see how the rise of UKIP will effect the marginals.

The queues for the Northam bar at half time are so bad you have to drink in the stands if you want to watch the whole game.
-
On that note, when do you suppose the UK will pay back the 1.48 Trillion it has borrowed?
-
We are all going to have to blow off these debts at some point anyway, might as well start now.

I'm not sure there's enough room for compromise, what they are planning is polar opposite to what the EU want and I think most Greeks are in a position where they have nothing to lose. Will definitely be interesting.
-
Interesting to see Greece make a massive swing to the left. I can see them blowing off all their debt and leaving the Euro now.

I think a Green vote is more about making a statement on the importance of environmental issues than anything, no one votes Green expecting them to form a government.

LOL, I think it is pretty clear when we say America we mean USA, not Canada or Mexico. If we meant Mexico we would probably say "Mexico", likewise if we meant Canada we would probably say "Canada". I see why they need to dumb films down your you guys now.

If you want stats, a quick google… • One in three people in the U.S. know someone who has been shot. • On average, 32 Americans are murdered with guns every day and 140 are treated for a gun assault in an emergency room. • Every day on average, 51 people kill themselves with a firearm, and 45 people are shot or killed in an accident with a gun. • The U.S. firearm homicide rate is 20 times higher than the combined rates of 22 countries that are our peers in wealth and population. • A gun in the home is 22 times more likely to be used to kill or injure in a domestic homicide, suicide, or unintentional shooting than to be used in self-defense. • More than one in five U.S. teenagers (ages 14 to 17) report having witnessed a shooting. • An average of eight children and teens under the age of 20 are killed by guns every day. • American children die by guns 11 times as often as children in other high-income countries. • Youth (ages 0 to 19) in the most rural U.S. counties are as likely to die from a gunshot as those living in the most urban counties. Rural children die of more gun suicides and unintentional shooting deaths. Urban children die more often of gun homicides. • Firearm homicide is the second-leading cause of death (after motor vehicle crashes) for young people ages 1-19 in the U.S. • In 2007, more pre-school-aged children (85) were killed by guns than police officers were killed in the line of duty. • Medical treatment, criminal justice proceedings, new security precautions, and reductions in quality of life are estimated to cost U.S. citizens $100 billion annually. • The lifetime medical cost for all gun violence victims in the United States is estimated at $2.3 billion, with almost half the costs borne by taxpayers.

People go nuts and do mad sh!t all the time, the less accessible guns are the less people die. It's not hard for most people to understand. Yanks seem to have some sort of mental block on the subject though.
-
If that mentally ill kid's parents didn't own a gun what do you reckon would most likely have happened?
-
Page 3 is outdated, and pretty sh!t as well. Even when I was a teenage I had trouble wacking one off to a page 3.
-
It's different because of our situation. when the Argie c*nt did it all we had was an outside chance of finishing 6th.
-
Not really weird though is it. It's obviously not a good idea to discourage people from seeing the doctor in case it's something serious.
-
That is such a cop out. Farage would have wiped the floor with those other muppets in the original format.

Not too far off the likes of Villa, Everton and Newcastle despite some on here telling us how huge they are. 19. Newcastle United (155.1m) 20. Everton (144.1m) 21. West Ham United (137.4m) 22. Aston Villa (133m) 25. Southampton (126.9m)

Still a LONG way to go but our remaining fixtures don't seem too bad having played Mancs and Arse twice and Liverpool, Spuds, West Ham and Swansea away already: Swansea H QPR A West Ham H Liverpool H West Brom A Crystal Palace H Chelsea A Burnley H Everton A Hull H Stoke A Tottenham H Sunderland A Leicester A Aston Villa H Man City A

The one downside in being 3rd in the League is that it makes games like Everton v West Brom even less interesting than they usually are. At least usually there is some sort of mid-table/relegation interest, I might as well be watching the dog n Duck v Red Lion tnight.

I see Arsenal have finally found the answer to their defensive problems - put Chambers on the bench and leave him there.

Global warming really is happening... (well, duh!)

Well 27 years ago Margret Thatcher said increased CO2 emissions would lead to an increase in temperature, must have just been a lucky guess I suppose? -

Of course, and there would be a reason for the changes which would be observable and measurable. -

You're right, probability doesn't come into it. But wether a coin lands heads or tails depends on how it is tossed, similarly there are reasons why 14 of the 15 warmest years have happened recently - I wonder what they are? -
Whatever effect western involvement has had throughout history doesn't make what he said incorrect.

Verbal is right, saying the problem is noting to do with Islam is as bad as blaming all of Islam. Fact is part of Islam is f*cked up, but it IS part of Islam.
