  1. Using the term Yid as an insult is obviously wrong but I don't see anything wrong with the Spurs fans adopting the word. The fact that they are proud of and want to sing about their jewish traditions should be applauded and is the opposite to anti-semitism IMO.
  2. That's a retarded view, you can buy guns on the black market in the UK but people are not dying in mass shootings all over the place. It will take time but they have to start phasing out this bizarre gun culture they have in the US. The harder it is for criminals to get guns, the less people will die. It's just common sense.
  3. Obviously if there is security issues and a face needs to be seen it is different but i don't see a problem with veils in public places. i agree they look a bit spooky but comparing it to motorbike helmets shows how intolerant you are of other peoples religious beliefs. It's not hard to show a bit of understanding of other peoples cultures.
  4. So if some students came in dressed as Zorro on the way to a fancy dress party would you feel threatened?
  5. Telling people what they can and cannot wear is something you expect from some backward middle eastern sh!t hole like Saudi Arabia. If people are offended by what muslims wear it is their ignorance that is the problem, not the clothes.
  6. I really have heard it all now, this place never ceases to amaze me. West Brom A, Sunderland H, Norwich A, West Ham H is as hard as Man City A, Wigan H, Man Utd H, Arsenal A SWF mongery at it's finest.
  7. The fact that we are 5 points better off so far is meaningless, we havn't had a hard game yet and last year we had a stupidly hard start. Our manager has plenty still to prove. It remains to be seen how much of the good form last season was just riding on the back of what Adkins had set up and/or new manager syndrome.
  8. The problem is she might have been telling the truth, there just wasn't enough evidence to convict. I think it would be fair to give the accused anonymity unless they are found guilty, that way you should have less people making stuff up to drag someones name through the dirt. It may actually lead to more convictions because without that motive jurys might be more inclined to believe the victim.
  9. Roy will always include a big man in the squad.
  10. Decent result though.
  11. A neutral would say the whole team is rubbish.
  12. One sh!t free-kick and one sh!t corner - that is all Young has done so far.
  13. The frustrating thing is Walcott's passes are never miss-hit, he just doesn't understand where to pass it.
  14. Wrong, though the UN didn't authorise military action the war in Iraq was justified as enforcing a UN resolution - that's how Blair got the war deemed 'legal' by his lawyers before we went in. Obama didn't need support of congress but going against their vote would have been political suicide. I see the French have already drawn up a tough UN resolution meaning that if Syria don't comply fully then we have military action fully backed by the UN - that will probably mean the UK getting involved as well. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-europe-24031203
  15. There is no reason why the US can't use the current situation to their advantage though (and I think Obama is doing this perfectly). In agreeing to hand over their chemical weapons Syria have basically admitted they carried out the attack. There was NEVER any chance of it getting through congress, they were miles short of getting support from the US public. Now they have Russia's backing to draw up a UN resolution making the Syrians hand over all their chemical weapons or else. They can play exactly the same way as Iraq - send in the weapons inspectors, say they are not being allowed full access, then hey presto - we have military strikes backed by a UN resolution.
  16. The only way to avoid a completely disastrous outcome would be for the US and Russia to come to some sort of an agreement and for Russia to put pressure on Assad. There is precious little we could do. The problem is that both the US and Russia have an agenda, neither really care about the people of Syria.
  17. So his one win out of six games this season has actually improved his win ratio.
  18. That video posted in the comments looks rather nasty ( I had to stop watching it). A Christian priest being executed by the "free syrian rebels" who according to one of the posters had Russian accents and were Wahhabis from the Caucasus. There is a huge risk that intervention could make things much worse, that fact alone hints at the US having a hidden agenda here.
  19. I have a programme, ticket and copy of the Sun from the monday afterwards. Those pics are fantastic.
  20. At least now we know what "debt free" looks like! I like the way the mongs are saying that the wages debts are covered by the parachutes, if that were the case they would pay them back in full by next January or whenever their final payment is. The fact that they are spreading payments over 40 months suggests they need the parachutes for the every day running of the club and the wages debts have just been kicked into the grass. Worry about those debts later, something will turn up.
  21. If only that was true
  22. The Japs will do a good job.
  23. I can't see that formation working, Rickie is a natural front man you might as well just play 4-4-2.
  24. I think any annoyance about teachers striking goes out the window when you see some c*nt sticking up for the bankers.
  25. I have sympathy for them but plenty of people have spent years cultivating their careers and don't have the option of striking. Most people I have spoke to seem to be working twice as hard for effectively the same money. The country is skint, people accept that there has to be cut backs but as soon as certain people feel a little hard done by their toys come out the pram. If teachers are unhappy with their deal I'm pretty sure there are plenty of graduates willing to do the job.
