  1. Disagree, we don't need the money. £30mill in the bank doesn't win you any football games.
  2. So getting into Europe via the league makes the club desirable but winning a trophy and getting into Europe doesn't? Genius.
  3. Great article. It's great to have someone in charge with real ambition, not the old Dell mentality of happy to stay up. I fully expect the club to prove alot of people on here wrong about what they can achieve.
  4. Maybe now it's time for you to apologise for your pathetic conspiracy theories, or at least admit you were wrong? http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-25153273
  5. Or the UK could just decide they don't want nukes after all and then it's Scotland's problem? They are after all, like the oil, located in Scotland.
  6. From what I saw on Question Time it looks like Scots want out of the UK because they don't want to be governed by Conservatives. I can sort of sympathise with them, it's hard for most of England to feel any connection with Cameron and the other silver spoon millionaires handing out austerity. It must be near impossible for the ginger mountain-dwelling hobbits up there.
  7. It worked for me. The way I saw it there was two problems, the nicotine addiction and the habit of doing something with your hands etc. I thought best fight one at a time. I cut down to one or two a day and made no effort at all to stop for months. This gave me my nicotine but got me out of the habit of always sparking up. Then it was **** easy to knock on the head completely. And I have no will power at all. The problem is a lot of people just try and give up, then think they fail by having one and just go back to 20 a day because they have "failed" and can't give up.
  8. I found the best way was to not try and give up at first, just cut down dramatically. Get in the habit of having just one or two a day then when that becomes normal just knock it straight on the head.
  9. No way we would sell in January regardless of price IMO. If we want to strengthen we just will.
  10. ---------------------- Boruc ---------------------- Clyne ------- Fonte ------- Lovren ------- Shaw --------- Wanyama ------- Schneiderlin -------- D Wallace --------- Le Tissier --------- Lallana -------------------- Shearer --------------------
  11. I dunno, sounds like career suicide to me. Pompey are a bigger club but they are a basket case. If there is one thing managers don't like - it's sh!t going on behind the scenes. It's a club that is going to have to cope with the parachutes coming to an end, legacy debts, FL restrictions and on top of that there is fans with unrealistic expectations. It would take a brave or desperate manager to risk their career on that cluster-f*ck.
  12. If the UK own it then surely Scotland must only be entitled to their share, not the whole lot?

    Blackfish

I'm just surprised this sort of thing doesn't happen more often, it's a killer whale FFS, the clue is in the name. People forget that these creatures, like humans, all have different personalities. Just because humans are not their natural diet doesn't mean it is safe to go swimming around with them. I expect Tilikum was having a really sh!t morning, which is fair enough considering he was basically being tortured by being locked up in a tiny area of water for years. Then having some annoying Yank slapper try and stand on his head or something is enough to make anyone flip. It's the same with these idiots who own big dogs and let their kids play with them, should be done for manslaughter.
  14. I guess that means the UK get a share of the North Sea oil assets as well then?
  15. 6th. Man Utd will go above us but we're better than Spurs, Everton and Newcastle.
  16. It's a shame he's gone but I have every faith in the next appointment being a similar clusterf*ck.
  17. Maybe, but I think it is naive to think that our manager will stay out of loyalty, or to finish SFC's project. He will do whatever he thinks is best for him.
  18. I dunno, he is probably well aware of how Adkins left midway through his project.
  19. No way was it a foul, Giroud tackled him and got the ball. But if it was our player on their goalie the ref would probably have seen a foul somewhere.
  20. It was a monumental f*ck-up. The one at Stoke wasn't as bad but still an error. If I was Poch I would replace Kelvin and get a decent understudy to put a bit of pressure on Boruc, he needs to get his sh!t together. At the moment he knows he is on the teamsheet regardless.
  21. Or taking the only job he is ever likely to get in football.
  22. I, like most people, do the odd token thing like walk down the shop, turn the TV onto standby etc but fact is I know whatever I do will make no difference whatsoever. In my opinion, the only way we can make a difference, as individuals, is to vote in a government that is serious about acting on it. The problem is the rate population is growing and countries like China and India developing I would say anything we do as a nation, or even in Europe will make little difference except set an example. The greenhouse effect is scientific fact, the only debate is not if man has effected the climate but by how much. There is a fair chance that the negative feedbacks are enough to minimise the impact and the Earth will reach an equilibrium or that the cooling sun means that man made forcing actually works as a positive for us. I'm no expert but I'm of the opinion that the current solar inactivity is masking man's impact and when it flips the other way we could be in serious trouble.
  23. Except he had a bloody strong gale blowing into his face.
  24. Today could potentially show up our lack of strength in depth. One key player out and I fear we will get smashed.
