  1. Maybe some sort of Socialist model is the way forward, capitalism has worked well but you get the feeling it is reaching the end. These things are constantly changing you can't just look at history and say socialism doesn't work. The day the banks needed you and me to bail them out was the beginning of the end of the current capitalist system IMO. We can't just keep on printing money like it's going out of fashion, while the country still gets into more and more debt, while banks and big corporations continue to syphon off billions and pay themselves billions in the process. The end will come when the US defaults on it's debt (and it has to at some point), our banks will need bailing out again but it wont be possible so they will have to be nationalised.
  2. How do you kidnap 3 kids, a wheelbarrow?
  3. Do really really think that voting blue, red or yellow will make the slightest bit of difference to the major issues we are facing over the next 10 years or so? Where I live it's a straight choice between the Tories and Lib Dem, vote for anyone else and you might as well role your poll card up and shove it up your arse. Vote Lib Dem and they just do the opposite to what they say. Anyway, whoever is in power are just slaves to global market forces anyway, any difference they make is so tiny it makes no difference to the average person. Whoever is in charge wont do anything about the environment because it means making tough decisions that means they wont get re-ellected. The government are utterly powerless to change the bank system which has f*cked us all over and is doing exactly the same again. They are completely inept in stopping major multinationals paying no tax. Brand is spot on in pretty much everything he says, wether he personally is a hypocrite or not is irrelevant.
  4. Of course, if you earn under 21K (I think) - not exactly a 'high' wage. My point is that there are plenty of ways of earning decent money and not go to uni, the highest earning people I know never went to Uni. I just know that if I had just finished my A Levels now I probably wouldn't go to Uni, I was worried about the debt I would get into back then and that's when fees were paid.
  5. That's complete ******, there are plenty of ways you can earn good money by not going to uni and being saddled with massive debt. If I had to the make the choice now I would probably think twice about going. You have to be pretty thick to think going to uni guarantees a higher wage.
  6. You can be perfectly happy and still acknowledge that there are things you could have done better. People you could have treated better, people you could have kept in touch with, moments where you could have behaved better. Times when you could have taken better care of your health or planned better financially.
  7. I'm not bitter about a single thing. I have a great life, a career doing what I have always wanted to do since the age of 14, a great house, a great wife, family and friends. There is still plenty I would do differently though, even if it's only little things like not wasted money betting on football.
  8. Don't believe a word of it, there is always some part of your life you could improve. You could have picked the winning lottery numbers last saturday for starters, if you did I doubt you would be having pointless conversations with complete strangers on here, you would be in the Caribbean enjoying your financial security with your wife and kids.
  9. You sound like you are trying to convince yourself. If anyone is honest there would be things you would do differently, doesn't mean you are unhappy or spend your life thinking about what would have happened. If you went to jail can you honestly say if you went in a time machine back to the day before you committed the crime you would do it again - b*ll*x.
  10. I agree that there is no obvious alternative but he is right in that whoever we vote for the environment is still going to be f*cked over, the banks are still going to cream off billions and nothing is going to be done about the growing disparity of wealth.
  11. Watching it down the pub is obviously not as good but if you're trying to save a bit of cash it's a pretty good alternative. Away games especially, you can easily do a tonne on ticket, travel, food and drink and waste a day just to watch some dull 0-0 at some sh!thole up north.
  12. I agree with what he is saying, the system is f*cked and voting is pointless.
  13. Become a banker.
  14. So if Pap's theory is correct the McCanns have been actively involved in reopening an investigation into a crime they committed. Aided by the Met who are desperate to cover it up and pursue a false line of inquiries!
  15. Have you got a link to the list of fingerprints and DNA found in the apartment?
  16. I think all missing child investigations they will assume they are alive unless there is clear evidence they are not and also remain in contact with the parents. I'm not sure what is strange about either.
  17. It's clear from this that the Met are doing all they can to find out what happened. The word 'abduction' does not appear once here... http://content.met.police.uk/Appeal/Latest-update-on-Madeleine-McCann-case/1400018438045/1257246741786 They are also working closely with the Portuguese Police so if they did think the McCanns did it they would share their info/suspicions/theories with the Met. If the forensic evidence you keep banging on about proves anything then the Met will be all over it like a rash - you can guarantee that.
  18. Much of it is just attention seeking by blokes going through a mid-life crisis IMO. A load of my mates have started doing stupid sh!t for charity now they are hitting 40 when for years they havn't given a monkeys about charity. I prefer to sit on my ass and give money to charity via direct debit as I always have.
  19. LOL, we can all read the evidence that is online, what is YOUR theory based on this evidence?
  20. Pap, why don't you just post your theory of how you think the McCanns pulled it off? The more you throw insults around the more it looks like you can't think of one. Just ONE plausible theory, I am genuinely interested in how they could have done it.
  21. I agree the parents have acted strangely on occasions but they do seem to be a bit of an odd couple. I wouldn't read too much into her not answering the questions, she had already gave an account of what happened the day after Madeline went missing. The interview where she was treated as a suspect was months afterwards and if Madeline was abducted wouldn't have done anything to help find her, the questions were only aimed at pinning it on her - I expect that's why she clammed up. To be honest if I was in her situation and the local plod had made a complete hash of finding my kid, then 3 months later tried to pin it on me I would probably tell them to f*ck off. The forensic evidence appears sketchy, it would be interesting to hear from an expert about the probabilities involved. The fact that the Met don't seem to be taking it seriously suggests it could be pretty meaningless unless there is something more concrete to go with it. From what I've read dog finding cadaver scent could mean a whole number of things, it doesn't even prove a body was in the apartment let alone Madeline's. Maybe Madaline's DNA would bound to be found in a car used by her parents for a period of time, their clothes must have her DNA all over them. Only a police expert can analyse the forensic evidence, not some nutjob on the web with access to some of the facts. My guess is that it was some lone weirdo who lives within an couple of hours drive max. Was noncing around and somehow noticed the kid was in there without her parents (could have heard her cries or watched a parent go in check then leave) and took the opportunity. The apartment was horribly exposed.
  22. I think abduction is the most likely theory but am happy to entertain the idea that the McCanns did it if someone can explain how they managed to make the body vanish in the window of opportunity they had. Pap had a pop at the Met for persisting with the abduction theory yet is unable to come up with an plausible alternative. The Met have obviously looked into and didn't think the McCanns could do it either - hence they seem pretty certain it's an abduction.
  23. Resorting to insults and changing the subject again. Go on, just tell us how they could have done it... ...if you can
  24. Bravo, you can spot a typo, what a clever boy. Shame you can't come up with one single timeline of events that supports your theory. Until you do it's pointless you posting your ramblings on here.
  25. Mate, you would be sh!t at Cleudo. "It was Colonel Mustard, dunno where but with what but he definitely did it"
