  1. It is odd, I would like to hear the McCanns explain why it was suppressed. I guess they put too much weight into the sighting outside the apartment and only when the MET ruled that out did the other sighting become considered relevant. Also as the bloke who saw her said it was 80% sure it was Gerry McCann, if you were McCann you wouldn't want it released wether you are innocent or guilty.
  2. Overhyped I reckon, nothing much happening here.
  3. This forum is conclusive proof that football fans know jack sh!t about professional football.
  4. Gaston is obviously not fancied by Poch, I wouldn't be surprised if we flogged him in Jan.
  5. I'm with Toure, the Russians are a bunch of c*nts who shouldn't be hosting a World cup. No place for racism in football.
  6. No way would I start Osvaldo over that team tonight.
  7. Has to get a chance for England, very few English midfielders with his skill at the moment.
  8. Has got all the important decisions right, couldn't wish for a better person in charge of our club. It's ****ing great being a saints fan at the moment.
  9. I agree that it should be more elitist, but that should mean the cleverest people. This policy will do the opposite, there will still be plenty of rich kids using uni as an excuse to bum around on some pointless course while potentially better students from less secure backgrounds will choose to do something less worthwhile.
  10. I can see the argument for fees but the fact is if I had to pay what students do now there is no way I would have gone to university. I wasn't from a wealthy background and at that age the idea of getting into debt scared the sh!t out of me. I qualified for a grant, had my fees paid, lived like a scumbag for 3 years but still got into a fair amount of debt by the time I graduated. I just think it's a shame if promising youngsters are put off doing worthwhile professions, I know I would have been.
  11. Maybe some sort of Socialist model is the way forward, capitalism has worked well but you get the feeling it is reaching the end. These things are constantly changing you can't just look at history and say socialism doesn't work. The day the banks needed you and me to bail them out was the beginning of the end of the current capitalist system IMO. We can't just keep on printing money like it's going out of fashion, while the country still gets into more and more debt, while banks and big corporations continue to syphon off billions and pay themselves billions in the process. The end will come when the US defaults on it's debt (and it has to at some point), our banks will need bailing out again but it wont be possible so they will have to be nationalised.
  12. How do you kidnap 3 kids, a wheelbarrow?
  13. Do really really think that voting blue, red or yellow will make the slightest bit of difference to the major issues we are facing over the next 10 years or so? Where I live it's a straight choice between the Tories and Lib Dem, vote for anyone else and you might as well role your poll card up and shove it up your arse. Vote Lib Dem and they just do the opposite to what they say. Anyway, whoever is in power are just slaves to global market forces anyway, any difference they make is so tiny it makes no difference to the average person. Whoever is in charge wont do anything about the environment because it means making tough decisions that means they wont get re-ellected. The government are utterly powerless to change the bank system which has f*cked us all over and is doing exactly the same again. They are completely inept in stopping major multinationals paying no tax. Brand is spot on in pretty much everything he says, wether he personally is a hypocrite or not is irrelevant.
  14. Of course, if you earn under 21K (I think) - not exactly a 'high' wage. My point is that there are plenty of ways of earning decent money and not go to uni, the highest earning people I know never went to Uni. I just know that if I had just finished my A Levels now I probably wouldn't go to Uni, I was worried about the debt I would get into back then and that's when fees were paid.
  15. That's complete ******, there are plenty of ways you can earn good money by not going to uni and being saddled with massive debt. If I had to the make the choice now I would probably think twice about going. You have to be pretty thick to think going to uni guarantees a higher wage.
  16. You can be perfectly happy and still acknowledge that there are things you could have done better. People you could have treated better, people you could have kept in touch with, moments where you could have behaved better. Times when you could have taken better care of your health or planned better financially.
  17. I'm not bitter about a single thing. I have a great life, a career doing what I have always wanted to do since the age of 14, a great house, a great wife, family and friends. There is still plenty I would do differently though, even if it's only little things like not wasted money betting on football.
  18. Don't believe a word of it, there is always some part of your life you could improve. You could have picked the winning lottery numbers last saturday for starters, if you did I doubt you would be having pointless conversations with complete strangers on here, you would be in the Caribbean enjoying your financial security with your wife and kids.
  19. You sound like you are trying to convince yourself. If anyone is honest there would be things you would do differently, doesn't mean you are unhappy or spend your life thinking about what would have happened. If you went to jail can you honestly say if you went in a time machine back to the day before you committed the crime you would do it again - b*ll*x.
  20. I agree that there is no obvious alternative but he is right in that whoever we vote for the environment is still going to be f*cked over, the banks are still going to cream off billions and nothing is going to be done about the growing disparity of wealth.
  21. Watching it down the pub is obviously not as good but if you're trying to save a bit of cash it's a pretty good alternative. Away games especially, you can easily do a tonne on ticket, travel, food and drink and waste a day just to watch some dull 0-0 at some sh!thole up north.
  22. I agree with what he is saying, the system is f*cked and voting is pointless.
  23. Become a banker.
  24. So if Pap's theory is correct the McCanns have been actively involved in reopening an investigation into a crime they committed. Aided by the Met who are desperate to cover it up and pursue a false line of inquiries!
  25. Have you got a link to the list of fingerprints and DNA found in the apartment?
