Wasn't this the sighting the Met ruled out as being some bloke carrying his daughter from the creche?

To be fair you thought it was arrogant to think we could out-bid Swansea in the transfer market.

Global warming really is happening... (well, duh!)

Their prediction was pretty much spot on, as usual it was the media that hyped it up, not the scientists. -
Job centres attempts to encourage folk to go back to work fails

I think the applicant in the opening post should be applauded for not wasting the employer's time. -
F*ck about with the line up too much and we will lose this one. I would go for: Boruc Clyne Lovren fonte Shaw Wanyama Schneiderlin JWP Lallana Jay Rod Lambert
-
It was a freak goal but to say Boruc wasn't at fault is nonsense. The wind caught it but he was there, he knew how windy it was. Boruc has been sensational this season so no-one is going to have a pop at him over it but if Kelvin had made his first start of the season on Sat and let that goal in he would be slaughtered on here.

Agree, this game is more important than the League game on Saturday IMO. Qualifying for Europe via the league is still a pretty far fetched idea, we're looking like we are not going to get relegated so we should concentrate on trying to win something.

What fool ever compared him to Brett Ormerod?

It's getting rather tiresome all these people who wait 30 years and then accuse someone of touching their ass or something. I can understand a child being afraid to report something but these people have been adults a long time now yet chose to keep quiet and let these "abusers" supposedly carry on and do the same to other people (if they are guilty). Has more than a wiff of compo about it.

Sunderland C1C Northumbria Police on Decision to Rearrange
aintforever replied to adysaint's topic in The Saints
Really? why would a football game in Sunderland effect one in Newcastle? -
You don't think it's fair that if 10% of the population vote for a specific party then they should get 10% of the seats? Surely that is what democracy is all about.
-
Yeah but the policies that matter, which we generally vote for, are decided on a national level. You could have 10-20% of the public feel strongly about a marginal party and they get no seats whatsoever. I would vote green if my vote counted for anything, but because it wont I vote Lib Dem just because I don't dislike them as much as the Tories. How is s system which gets people voting for parties they don't believe in truly democratic?
-
Agree, there are so many places in the country where your vote counts for nothing. Where I live it's a straight fight between the Tories and Lib Dems, there is zero point in me bothering except to try to vote tactically to keep the Tories out - not exactly democracy at it's finest.

We were 4th Xmas day 2003 after beating the Skates 3-0.
-
I never said either of them are poor buys, just put our current success into context. We have spent a sh!t load of cash, Lowe got us to 4th at Xmas on a relative shoestring.
-
He has to take some credit, but also responsibility for spending £27million on Ramirez and Osvaldo. It's great noshing ourselves off at the moment but it would be fair to remember that Rupert Lowe had us 4th in the Premier League at Christmas one year, and look how that turned out. It would be interesting to compare his net spend with the current lots.
-
Labour should have kept control of spending better but we would still be in a mess regardless of who was in government. There is no way the Tories would have regulated the banks any more, if anything they would have done less.

An employee/ex employee of the resort is an obvious line of inquiry, they would know the layout of the apartment and how exposed it was. Also, importantly, an employee could also know how kids were often left unattended, this particular group appeared to do it like clockwork.

Can't see why not, it's only for 90 mins once or occasionally twice a week.

Why being a striker at SFC is tougher than most
aintforever replied to Giordano's topic in The Saints
No one who has scored 90 Premier League goals could be classed as an inadequate striker. -

It appears they thought the first sighting was most likely the abductor and releasing the e-fit would be distracting. "A source close to the fund said the report would have been ‘completely distracting’ if it had become public." The thing is, if the McCanns had killed their own daughter and Jerry had strolled down the road with her corpse and dumped her in the sea, why would they hire a team of ex-MI5 investigators to find out what happened?
-
"Smith has since stressed that he does not believe the man he saw was Gerry, and Scotland Yard do not consider this a possibility. Last week the McCanns were told officially by the Portuguese authorities that they are not suspects."

Who can we least afford to lose with a bad injury?
aintforever replied to TopGun's topic in The Saints
Lovren would be the biggest miss, he has been superb plus I'm not sure Fonte and Yoshida worked as a partnership so him being out could mess up the whole defence. Boruc would also be badly missed but I don't think it would cost us quite as much. If we are to stay in touch with the top 5 we are going to have to be very lucky with injuries that is for sure.
