I'm usually up for getting out of the EU but I think if we opted out now it would send the whole thing into a tailspin which wouldn't be good for us.
-
Pompey have had 15 more yellow cards than goals scored.
-
Or as in the AV vote, if Clegg says yes, the British public says no.
-
The dross we watched under Gray and Wigley was part of the Sky years but that's irrelevant, I wasn't talking about a particular managers style more the matchday experience.
-
Still not as good as the previous lot. That fat guy in the Northam used to be lightning quick.
-
Handjobs, tenner a go
-
It probably wasn't but you get my point. Football today is cr@p, expensive and boring in comparison to the pre-Sky years.
-
Hopefully all the pubs that have been fined over the last decade or so can now sue Sky for compo and lost earnings etc. Personally I think Sky have ruined football, I couldn't give a toss about shiny new stadia or 100K a week foreign t@ssers. I preferred it when as a kid I could get into the Dell for £2 and watch Matt le Tiss take the p!ss out of the European Champions and be 2 yards away from the action. You could stand where you liked, smoke a fag and have a laff. By comparison, football today is just expensive, sterile and dull - all for the benefit of w@nker glory supporters who want to watch Man Utd on the box.
-
I would say with the right investment 40K would be about right, it depends on the investment/timescales tho. I think people look too much at history, the demographics of football has changed considerably and Saints have never had investment.
-
I'm already dreading September 2058.
-
Just illustrating the potential. SFC has NEVER had the opportunity to fulfill it's full potential, it's either been limited by the Dell or by having owners who invested nothing - the potential is a bit of an unknown quantity. I remember when Chelsea were a scutty little level 2 club. The problem with most Saints fans is that they are stuck with Dell-sized brains. Thank god someone like Cortese is running the show - he wont be looking backwards.
-
I think the Chelsea home game in 2003 sold out in 6 and a half hours - and that was with players like Bret Ormerod up front. Saints don't have the biggest hardcore support but there are shed loads of people in the area who want to and can afford to watch the big Prem teams.
-
I dunno how you figure that out, it's up to the TV companies what logos they show and music they play.
-
SMS is built, I have my seat so don't give a sh!te. Anyway, I preferred watching football at the Dell.
-
Would be great if the Sky bubble bursts but I doubt it will. It will be interesting to see how going pan European will change things. I doubt many boozers in Greece will be wiling to stump up what the UK pubs have to, I expect all that will happen is that coverage outside the UK will practically vanish.
-
I agree in principle it's wrong but as long as they are acting on evidence/intelligence and are doing it because he is genuinely perceived a threat I don't have a problem with it. If Clinton had the balls to do the same to Bin Laden he would have saved a lot of lives.
-
I don't see what difference someone's passport makes if they are a threat - if anything it shows consistency on the US's part if they are willing to off one of their own. Having said that the there is obviously a concern that this is just Obama's way of winning back some of the right wing votes in next year's election.
-
I hate party conference season, just bunch of c*cks talking sh!te to a bunch of @rseholes.
-
To be fair, I expect plenty of people were saying the same as you when Clinton had the chance to take out Bin Laden prior to 9/11. That worked out well didn't it?
-
I find it more reassuring than scary. Of course in principle assassinations are wrong but in reality there is little alternative in cases like this.
-
"decent toilets, fix the clock" LOL at the ambitions of the blue few.
-
I disagree, getting to the quarter finals is good for England. Only one manager in the history of football has done any better on foreign soil. The problem is most England fans can't accept how sh!t our players are.
-
Think he would be ideal backup for Lambert. I trust Adkins is decision though because there is potential to unsettle the changing room.

!2K gate when tickets are under a tenner is shocking.

We wont, IMO governments will just write it off. Quantitive easing is a form of default so they are starting to do it anyway.
