I would be happy if we keep hold of everyone (Oxo and Puncheon), think it would be wise to get another striker in though.
-
I wouldn't accept less than £10mill, the potential there is obvious.

It was pretty clear that Saints were an excellent investment opportunity, that's why we attracted someone like Leibherr - there is no way we would have gone under. I think naming a stand after Leibherr would be a fitting tribute though. Sure many people have made greater contributions (players, manager etc) but what Marcus did, and how tragically soon he died makes it a unique situation - he deserves a fitting tribute. Matt le Tiss, Channon, Bates, Paine etc will always have their names in the history books because of what they achieved, naming a stand is a good way of having Marcus' name live on.

Would have prefered seven. Oh well, got to take the rough with the smooth. -
It's good to see someone with loyalty in today's game. I don't blame him for turning down Palace and Charlton, neither are in good shame finance wise, Charlton inparticular is a poinsoned chalice. As long as they don't get in the way of us I hope Bournemouth do well.
-
It's pointless trying to plan these things, people will sit where they want, people will sing if they want. Dumb thread.

The corporate seats sell out in a flash for these games, it makes sense to hike the prices up. There are plenty of rich ****ers around this area with spoilt brat kids who support Man U, they will sell out at that price easy.
-
Bart commands his box better than Kelvin but it would be harsh to drop him, he hasn't made many mistakes and is a superb shot stopper.
-
I prefered it when he hated us.
-
Might work, not sure if they have player together up front much this season though. Buy another striker and you don't have to change Lallana's position, if you have a team that is working well you are better off keeping it consistent and not having to shuffle players around or change the system when injuries hit.
-
I think the squad is good enough to possibly win the league, but I think if Barnard and Lambert get injured I think we would struggle for goals. I don't see a Guly - Connolly partnership doing it consistently enough. Keepers - fine Defence - fine Central Midfield - Chaplow, Scheiderlin, Hammond & Gobern should do the job - maybe add one more. Wide players - fine if we keep Puncheon Strikers - I would sign up Guly and bring in one more top striker. We have enough resources to not let any possible injury problems derail us.
-
If there is no Tuesday game straight after it is worth fielding our strongest XI in round 4.
-
Arsenal, Chelsea or Spurs away - I fancy a big tear up in London.
-
With Puncheon back I reckon we just need one more striker.
-
Did the interviewer slap him round the face and ask why the **** the stupid skate **** signs players on 20K a week then moan about the size of his squad? If it wasn't tax payers money paying for that shambles down the road I would find it more amusing. At the moment I just find it frusstrating the club still exists. It will be interesting to see how they accomadate Ben Haim's MASSIVE wages though.

Saints 2 - 0 Blackpool - Post match reaction

To make so many changes and comfortably beat a Premier League team is amazing. You have to hand it to Adkins, he has taken us to another level. -
Didn't Marcus buy the whole club for £15mill? If they get £10mill back for one 17 year old they will be laughing all the way to the Swiss bank. Personally I wouldn't want him sold but even if we do it would probably be re-invested anyway so I wouldn't cry over it.
-
Brilliant news! best signing we could have hoped for. Well done to NC and NA.
-
All good managers prioritise certain competitions and we shouldn't be any different. It doesn't mean we want to lose, just that the team should be as best prepared as possible for Tuesday's game. If that means resting 4, 5 or 11 players then so be it.

Cameron's big Quango reduction plan was botched

I'm glad Quangos have been raped, some may have been cost effective but I think in the whole money will be saved. Plus the fact that they have been cut and will continue to be, will stop them taking the P. -
I think if they were using ET technology they might just have invented something superior to the Spitfire and whooped our ass.
-
A premier League second team shouldn't have much of a problem with a League 1 side. It has all the makings to be a cracking game though, both teams play good football, there is no pressure on either side and neither want a replay.

He's still young, a player i would definitely keep. I find it amazing how so many people write off young players because they are not yet the finished article.
