  1. LOL at all the jealous mongs having a pop at someone because they actually know something.
  2. Not really irrelevant, if we play a scheduled midweek game the team we play on the Saturday would also have played midweek so it's no disadvantage either way. The only disadvantage could be when we play a rearranged midweek game due to an FA cup run. A friend of mine is good friends with another League 1 manager and he says they are "Glad" to be out of the JPT - that's a word of a professional football manger. Our results for last year following cup games don't prove that it was a distraction but it proves beyond any doubt that winning cup games creates a "winning habit" than transfers into league form. I think we probably played more games than Man Utd last year, it had to be a distraction IMO when the ONLY thing that mattered was getting promoted.
  3. Results in league games following cup ties last year... Huddersfield A - Lost Stockport A - Lost Southend A - Won Brighton H - Lost Wycombe H - Won Leeds A - Lost Millwall A - Draw Brentford A - Draw Norwich A - Won Brighton A - Draw Not great
  4. That's the only thing keeping me optimistic about them getting a points penalty. You can guarantee every other chairman in the Championship will more than share our opinion. The fact that they are not openly saying anything hints at their concerns being dealt with behind the scenes. Remember, it turned out all the Prem chairmen wanted them closed down, nothing was said at the time though because the PL knew they would be shot of them.
  5. It's a bit misleading, the effects are only worse because so many more people use it. It's like saying driving is more dangerous than base-jumping because more people die in car crashes.
  6. I think we will pass the **** out of them and give them a thorough spanking.
  7. The last time pompey were in the 3rd tier they averaged 8,544.
  8. I understand that, but I expect there are also companies doing very well but use the "hard times" as an excuse not to pay people any more.
  9. Problem is that excuse will last a lot longer than the difficult times.
  10. Gingers are not a race so I suppose it cannot be called racist but calling someone a Ginger Rodent is no different to calling someone a Black C*nt.
  11. **** me, not more stats from the skate school of creative statistics. Attendances from the 50's have no relivance to today's game. Even in the 3rd tier we were a bigger draw than the skates in the Prem last year yet you mongs still think you are a similar sized club - ****ing retards.
  12. I think his point is that when we are the small club playing a big draw Cortese will want to charge top wack for the tickets just like Shrewsbury. So it's hypocritical having a go at them. That said, I starting to think Cortese is actually a marketing genius who has fooled everyone, including me. SFC basically has a full page ad in probably the UK's most viewed news/sports website, complete with link to the ticket sales page on the OS... http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/teams/s/shrewsbury/9139736.stm That is literally advertising space money can't buy. That story makes Cortese look like a d!ck, but it also promotes the fixture by adding a bit of spice, and highlights the cheap prices. The same can be said of the spat with Bournemouth's chairman and the photographer ban, all publicity is good publicity. Poisoned Dwarf or marketing genius?
  13. Maybe that agenda is also based on fact?
  14. So if you're underpaid but can't find a better job, or in a job you love but being underpaid you are scum? You get some really nice people on this site.
  15. Excellent news, prefer him to Scheiderlin as he actually makes forward runs.
  16. As long as you don't complain about getting passed over or not invited back for being a judgmental snob. I've never judged anyone by the way they hold their fork, you have issues if you do IMO.
  17. I don't disagree, just fail to see the link between the technique you use for holding cutlery and being a rude slob. You can behave in a polite respectful manner without conforming to pointless ancient rules, likwise you can hold your cutlery the "correct" way and still be a rude, ignorant ***t.
  18. Weird that, because my mate is the biggest slob I know and he's close to being a millinaire before his 32nd birthday. My (very successful) creative director turns up at corporate dos looking like a tramp - makes no difference because he's bloody good at his job.
  19. I don't think it's Polite or courtious to inspect how people hold their knife and fork and judge them on it. You can hold you cutlery any way you choose and still behave in a respectful manner without talking and splattering fellow dinners. just because you are not conforming to a bunch of stupid rules thought up by posh dickheads centuries ago doesn't mean you are rude. Likewise if you hold you knife and fork in a certain way and sit there looking down your nose judging people it doesn't make you a better person. Typical English snobbery ****** which I detest, I suppose half of Asia are scum because they eat with their hands?
  20. Says the man with an arse for an avatar.
  21. So is it just a case of waiting for funds then?
  22. For some reason it was being featured behind Reading that really ****ed me off.
  23. We are 14th in division 3 by the way.
  24. Who gives a fukk how you hold your knife and fork, anyone who cares is a d!ck.
  25. If we're going to mount a serious challenge this is the sort of game we need to win IMO.
