  1. Unfortunately that is the only reason I can think of, that or Lowe is using the threat of administration and starting next season on -10 as leverage in some deal.
  2. Does anyone have an explanation of the timing of this? Why have we risked starting next season on -10 when if it was anounced last wednesday we could have taken the hit this season. It doesn't add up.
  3. Does anyone know why we are going into admin now and not last week before the deadline? It makes no sense to do it now when we could have taken the hit and given ourselves a chance next season.
  4. You're right, it doesn't make any sense going into admin now when it could have just as easily have happened last week without a risk of starting next season on -10. Can anyone give a logical explanation?
  5. The timing of it all points to a deduction being avoided. Surely if we were gonna get deducted this would have happened last week before the deadline?
  6. Maybe if the council took over the debt then they would get more favourable rates on the mortgage, particularly in today's climate. The council can guarantee the future of SFC, which guarantees rent on the stadium, which guarantee's the mortgage being paid off - eventually.
  7. It's all tax payers money, how much are the rates?
  8. Wont the council lose out on business rates if SFC folds?
  9. Because spending a fortune on pointless traffic lights is a way better investment...
  10. There have been meetings with the council, I hope this is right.
  11. there is no way in a million years this "parent company" ****** will stop us getting a points deduction, if anything the FA will make it worse.
  12. Why didnt they do this last week? Now we will be relegated and ****ed over by a points deduction next year.
  13. But if SFC folds how do they expect to get £23m for SMS?
  14. So SFC could be sold and rent the stadium of SLH who would be in administration, then SLH would sell St Marys to the highest bidder to pay of the creditors. So in theory as St Marys is only of any use to SFC the value would not be very high and SFC could buy it back for a song and be mortgage free?
  15. ------------- Davis -------------- Thomson - Perry - Size - Skacel ---------- Scheiderlin ---------- Lallana ----------------- Surman ---------- McGoldrick ---------- ----- Euell --- Saganowski -----
  16. That's a kick in the nuts we could do without.
  17. 3 points behind with 21 left to play for - only an idiot (Alpine?) would chuck the towel in.
  18. No you're wrong it would have happened this season, but there's always a risk of -17 next season if a CVA is not agreed. In that respect I suppose a deduction of -27 is possible next season, if we go into admin and don't get a CVA.
  19. I made no sense to chuck in the towel while there was still a chance. Go down and we are ****ed anyway,
  20. The SCW debate is not even a debate anymore, his time in football was nothing but an expensive failure. Lowe tried to fast track him to the managers position and he left with his tail between his legs having achieved nothing and at great cost to the club. The fact that so many fans were willing to put up with our nut case chairman trying to make a rugby coach a football manager, under the guise of sports science, is laughable - as comedies go it's up there with the Jamaican bob sleigh team and racing Zebras. The only thing that makes it unfunny is the fact that while the whole panto has been played out we've dropped from the Prem to bottom of the Championship. Redknapp's gone on to prove he can actually manage if left to do the job (and actually embrace sports science), Woodward's jumped on the Olympic gravey train and we are stuck here skint while Woody's computerized eye gyms sit there in the mult millionpound dome gathering dust.
  21. Funny how the old dinosaur Redknapp managed to utilise the latest in sports science at pompey then wasn't it? This dinosaur stuff is just ******, every manager in the league would be up for anything that give stheir team an extra 1%.
  22. There is no way the club could avoid administration if we go down, it appears they are on the verge now, remove half the gate receipts & sponsorship, plus 90% of the TV money the club wont stand a chance, wont even be close. The combination of the credit cruch and Lowe will probably see the club in financial trouble even if we stay up.
  23. The combination of Lowe, the credit cruch and hand outs to part time fans will mean ST sales will be stupidly low next season, even if we stay up.
  24. I think the share price reflects what we all know - relegation means certain administration. Whilst, because we can cull the wage bill, admin wont be straight away. Barclays will see that what is left of the team will stand no chance of promotion and whilst we are in League 1 we will never be able to pay back the overdraft so they will call it in.
