I see we have "not so fat" Phil blowing the whistle today, so with the conspiracy theory that we will be reffed out of the top 4 warming up it will be interesting to see how he gets on.

I thought this was going to be about Ice Hockey up the Top Rank rink :-(

Called it as he walked up......... Me and Mrs JBS nearly punched each other out with our arms wide celebration.

Ever since seeing the opening scenes of Live and Let Die I have always fancied a New Orleans Jazz band playing very somberly then suddenly ramping it up and banging out OWTS at a jolly pace to cheer the place up.

Koeman says Mané was dropped due to discipline
John Boy Saint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
I had a customer who was very precise with his time, an hour for buying and hour on the shop floor all through the day, I had heard rumours of how harsh he was with his time regime, one day I had to drop off some samples and we were chatting away, this salesman briskly appears round the corner when he got within earshot the Buyer just said at him "5-4-3-2-1....... Goodbye". Turned around and walked away........ as the guy said you all have mobile phones and he understands about traffic, a quick call and he can adapt accordingly. -
It wasn't a TV curse on Sunday it was my bloody mate walking under the little sign outside the bike shop on Britannia Road after I told him not to. There is only so much power your lucky under crackers can bring to the game without outside forces diminishing their power !!

Just as an aside to all this Brenda said x cobblers. Did anyone else notice who I could have sworn was Sam Gallagher out on the pitch at half time having a one to one session.......... Just wondered with Mané going AWOL for 20 minutes whether he was put on standby? -

Over 24 hours have elapsed and the biggest frustration is that we went in to slow motion round their box but worst of all with a greasy pitch and a questionable keeper of late in between the sticks for them we weren't prepared to fizz some balls at him to fumble. C'est la vie as a Saints fan -

TV GAME: Spurs at home - kick-off time changed
John Boy Saint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
It was quite a while ago in the days before football existed, we were playing the League Cup Final on the Saturday but our games had gotten a bit backed up, and we had a 5th round FA replay marked down for the Tuesday, which was both ours and theirs designated (by choice) night for all mid week games, we asked nicely if we could play the replay on the Wednesday after all the excitement of a Wembley cup final and Arsenal flatly refused........ Sadly we lost the game. -
Đuričić wants a permanent transfer to Saints
John Boy Saint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Let's hope he can hack the Prem and has brought his shooting boots with him, after Saganowski I have a cynical view on these on loan foreign Johnnies, play like they are possessed then get a contract and swiftly light a pipe and pull on their slippers!! Anyone recall the Norwich game some years back Skacel and Rasiak (who both often flattered to deceive) played out of their skins, with many comments about them both being prime candidates for a random drugs test after the game: next day both had buggered off on loan. -
Better make sure I put on the lucky under crackers on Sunday morning!!!

TV GAME: Spurs at home - kick-off time changed
John Boy Saint replied to Saint-Armstrong's topic in The Saints
Cobblers do what Arsenal did to us years ago refuse to move and make the buggers play on Saturday lunchtime cos it ain't our fault that they are in Europe. -
Bit carp considering how often we have sold out for away games that some narrow minded thinking has gone on in the ticket office to take just the smallest amount with the game being just up the road. Or is someone on a bonus with the £10 saving "ooo we sold out and still have £15k in the pot".

The bill for just opening the bonnet on an Audi will work out about the same as a full service on a Nissan...........ish.

If you want to get a good view of the City as you have a few days to squeeze it all in. I can recommend the tour linked below, 9hrs seems a long time but it certainly didn't feel like it when we reached the end, a good thing with this tour is that the group you could be in is nice and small. If you go for it don't bulk up with breakfast as you will go to Chelsea food market and the choices are vast. https://www.newyorktourshuttle.com

That's the (ahem) new names for the group stage err groups of the CL, I would recommend setting up a Direct Debit with The Cat because he wont have them at a ton for long.

Birmingham parent company into administration
John Boy Saint replied to Winchester Red's topic in The Saints
Didn't he try to use the loop hole Derby used when they fell on stony ground, having not realised that the weak and weary Blazers in charge of the FL (Football in general really) were reactionary rather than proactive, and having seen the Derby swerve promptly closed that loop hole smartish, but we fell right into the remaining black hole and got hammered after arguing without a leg to stand on? -
This was a very strange front cover, but by Thursday of the same week the intent in the pose made a bit more sense when he screwed Arsenal to floor with the Oxo.

I have always liked Yoshida as he has a brain between his ears that processes what is going on around him well, and is pretty much always strong in the air. After taking a kick in the chops off Cole and the ref F'ing about getting treatment on the pitch (it's a full on boot in the face that's a head injury ref, you get the magic sponge men on regardless: thank goodness Mr East was on his game at QPR when young Matthew was clattered and it wasn't this clown) Maya was back into action frustrating My Little Donkey with aerial supremacy, which resulted in Carroll committing no end of pushes and shoves while Yoshida was in the air that would have been a penalty in Rugby all day long. Then it looked like Japanese Rope-a-dope, yet again the ball was punted up towards Carroll and knowing Maya had the measure of him and decided not to win the ball but to win a free kick by feigning injury by contact, what he didn't expect was for Yoshida to take a step away from him win the ball and the Donkey got injured in the process as his intended point of contact had moved causing him to fall to the ground awkwardly crocking him for the rest of the game.

I looked at the time as we went past the Student fag butt, saw it was 10pm and thought, Bugger! The bloody cone trolls will be closing 10 miles of motorway to 1 lane just to look into a little hole in the road Went via Romsey and back roads to Basingstoke took about 20mins longer.

I find it a amazing that no matter who the manager is we persist in faffing about playing "after you Claude" "no I couldn't, after you please" with the bloody ball. Just bloody light it you never know where it might deflect to. Very frustrating evening, especially as West Ham resorted to type with their style of play. Harry Reed was my MOTM tonight, always ready to pounce.
