Me too and at the beginning of the pre season too, that was a real treat last year a couple of days before heading home after a couple of weeks away.................. Ah well I will just have to make do with Snorkelling at Llafranc, bit of Golf then Chicken and Chips from Can Padre at Pals this year: might see you in the queue fighting off those pesky Dutch then Whitey!?!

For those living in the Turkey Shed and noting the date is the 24th of December: What a load of Hollyhocks, Ralph says we will be looking to get a high Calabre Manager in as replacement and when we have compiled a short list they will lets us know, along with us already receiving a pile of good CVs from across Europe and a research team working hard in the background. WE ASK Garcia (a manager who has had a very lukewarm season in the Championship) if he might be interested in the gig at SMS and then alluding to a scoop about the list already out with a list of names pulled off here and BetFred.com (for story qualification) ........................ Roll on Friday night and right good spanking off Peru giving the Mail et al plenty to feast on for over a week.

Busy day at work so missed the interview live but thanks to whoever posted the link to the Solent interview. Eventually had a listen whilst filling a hole in a wall at home. Seemed pretty much as I figured, ok the guy speaks with a foreign vernacular, but he tells you how it is and like in all business he isn't going to put everything on a Neon sign outside St Mary's just for the benefit of the minority. I think that there are quite a few on here that would be over analysing, on the verge of Suicide If Ralph told us that "on a perfect sunny Summers day the sky was Blue"!

Actually Nigel had been identified when the departure of Pardew was on the agenda, he was top of the list, however with Nigel being the decent chap he is, word at the time was that he wanted to make sure that S*****horpe being a little team with limited resources were suitably compensated correctly for a big rich fish whisking him away (no doubt his exit strategy was leaving the door open for himself just in case), so his arrival in charge of us was delayed.

During the pre season Spanish Leg I was sat in front of Jos, Maya, and Mayuka in the stands, my mate is a Footie nut so was asking Jos (as he was up for replying) all sorts, when he asked about Adkins being replaced by Pochettino how did you feel as a player after someone you know well is replaced by a comparative stranger. He just said obviously it's a bit strange but at the end of the day it's your job and you just get on with it, managers come and go you are employed by the club you go with their decision and the new guys way of doing things. Obviously that was the view after 6 months with MP we both said it would have been interesting to have asked the same question a day or so after Adkins was shown the door.

Put it in again some have said they had the same issue, put it in again and hey Presto job done.
-
We would have to soften the blades of grass down the training ground so he doesn't hurt himself if he did come here.
-
C'est la vie. can you blame him, with Levy's hair trigger it's easier than winning the lottery having a contract with Spurs.
-
There is chat about Samuel Eto going there too.................. Sounds like Rupert Lowe is finally getting his own back on those North London Yobbos with the gypsy curse to turn White Hart Lane into a retirement home. If what the players said about needing 2 hearts and 4 lungs to survive MPs training regime 35year old players will hospitalised if he ends up there.

Just made me think of Mattys comment in his Testimonial programme I think, when he was sat with his agent and Terry Vegetables was on the phone wanting him to sign for Spurs the conversation went along the lines of "Matt it's Terry wanting you to sign for him at Spurs, what shall I say" from vague recall Matts response was "tell him to F off!". Like Viking just said nearly Midday and nowts been said.

Ah the Daily Express, the paper that has us regularily Due to suffer a cold snap colder than the worst winters day in Antartica, a Heatwave with temperatures that would turn the Sahara to glass, and Winds fiercer that those experienced in Red Spot storm on Jupiter!! And not fogetting the Sighting of Diana riding Shergar round at Lord Lucan's.

The Sherwood factor is likely to be key to whoever ends up managing Spurs, the bloke was managing the team with a death sentence already passed on him, yet the team still went out and played well for him until the very last day of the season. We have seen over the years that football players en masse can be funny buggers, Luggy got the runaround at Saints despite WGS's blessing of his appointment, Chelsea players gave one or two of their managers the runaround, Manure players last season messed about with Moyes despite SAF rubber stamping him, if it is MP then he is going to have to bring his A game to the dressing room as The ghost of Tim Sherwood in the team will likely have him enjoying Christmas and New Year with his family. The fact that we have not heard the merest peep from the hierarchy at Saints is very surprising and a tad strange considering the Avalanche of press comment we are enduring at present.

lets get back on to Michelle: a most pleasant distraction

I thought the ref was a bit soft.

Despite the rain the pitch looks a bit slow

Folks like an underdog, add Cameron and Milliband into the mix trying to belittle them and it just boosts their chances with the common man especially as they offer a bigger kick in the guts than the Lib Dems. Polling Day should be moved to a weekend as how many folks who commute to work get home after 7pm and all they want to do is have their dinner and put their feet up to unwind, not traipse down to the Scout Hut to put an X in a box on a bit of paper. It was my 18year Old Daughters first time to vote yesterday but whereas I looked forward to my first trip as it was a rite of passage, she was pretty inert to the whole idea of going to vote.

Steady on!! You know what happened last time!

43 posts away from some wag saying that this thread will reach page 44 before an announcement will be made regarding MP.

Some dopey bugger will probably vote for them due to the name association. -

If winning that "tin pot trophy" did anything on 2 occasions it has stopped the Chelsea fans signing their bloody Champions of Europe song endlessly at SMS as the repost of "JPT you'll never win that" has left them left them dazed and confused with no reply. For me having been to 3 Saints Finals, a play-off Final, and the FA Trophy final (the latter 2 as a guest supporter) to finally walk away from Wembley after 30 years of disappointment as a winning supporter makes it a worthy trophy in my eyes. -
Thats it Adam put another log on the fire to keep it going.................... Although the speed this thread went from start to 3 pages shows that the merest spark and a light Zephyr and away we go like a tinderbox.

Bob or Tony?

The fact that they have achieved it in a league where Real Madrid and Barcelona alone get something like 55% of the TV money shows that it is possible with the right players and work ethic. Didn't Simeone and MP play under the same Argentine manager who is held in high esteem for his management style, a style that seems to have rubbed off on the 2 of them. If we can keep everyone here and add well then there should be no reason why we can't upset the Applecart or at least ruffle a few more feathers.

Taters and Townsend aren't far behind

What niggled a bit was all the chit chat from the taters "9 years has been a long wait" really? Bloody Hull have been waiting 115 years! Football on TV really is a table for 5 or 6 Diners!
