  1. There's always golf and the nfl apparently.
  2. Puel said of Jones’s visit: “It was a good meeting, a good man, and a good trainer. It’s interesting to meet him, and to discuss together, for example, tactics in playing rugby. There’s a similarity with football. Read more at https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/sep/14/eddie-jones-southampton-claude-puel-sparta-prague-europa-league
  3. Not as interesting as motion 2.3. That is so secret it hasn't been included. So they are have their own 5 year plan from 2016. I wonder if it mentions gaining promotion from league two and how they hope to achieve it? Or is it specific to PST sphere of interest and accountability?
  4. To re-establish the academy to first team pathway. To keep finances within our means. To build partnerships across the world. Increase commercial revenue. Of course many fans know what's best and how much money is available and have come out with a strategy of wanting more players for the first team which are affordable and willing to join the club. So understandably it is frustrating.
  5. Osvaldo was and is a complete côck and shouldn't have been signed. Gaston was worth the risk and it was a shame it didn't work out.
  6. Ninth for Saints. Title going to Manchester. Tough call for relegation.
  7. Agree... As long as the team stick together.
  8. Only perhaps following him out of the door.
  9. I can recommend going to the state opera house, lovely place. I saw Tosca there a few years back. Great performance.
  10. Or understand the club and what it's trying to do.
  11. I'd like to think the club have an eye on the lower leagues for players that CDAJFU if it's the case of developing a player into a starting position short to mid term with the current starting line up internationals we have.
  12. Latte too slow for the premier league. Perhaps Espresso would be a better choice.
  13. So the black box helps grade the eligibility of players and does the player/agent get 'sounded out' for suitability?
  14. How long has Cookie got left on his? I wonder if he's feeling the pressure yet? Will the players want to help dig him out of this hole? Join us Saturday when the mighty skates battle for top spot against relegated Colchester at home!
  15. Since the club have moved to a water meter, it costs the club an absolute fortune watering all the pitches!
  16. It will be interesting to see what happens as it seems he can look after the transfer window closes. Maybe resigning there is no compensation fee to pay.
  17. This season will be a walk in the park with record points if that's the case. Anything less and the fans will boo them of the pitch.
  18. With the new elite academy structure it's good that the lower leagues are picking up the youngsters that don't make it through our academy. At least they have had a good standard of coaching and also with Saints a decent education. Hopefully a chance at this level can give him a different opportunity that he can make something out of.
  19. A preview from a national which has a little interest in league two... https://www.theguardian.com/football/2016/aug/02/league-two-2016-17-season-preview-portsmouth-morecambe
  20. It's never been in doubt. This is their season.
  21. It's strange as they had been bought by an American consortium last season. Let's see if they spend well getting players in or they are the money sucking ones?
  22. That looks much more likely. I was trying to think back at the advertisers at the match for the Euros to see if there were any betting companies advertising pitch side but couldn't remember!
  23. Apparently no gambling sponsors allowed for European matches. I haven't check official sources but what I've heard.
  24. 25. Good news. I'm sure if he wasn't happy working with Puel, he wouldn't have signed. Also nice that he has influence further down the teams at the club and it helps produce a decent young keeper.
