That's a good article, and fair towards where the blame lies for the current regression. It would be good to see some finished articles, known quantities, arriving in the coming weeks - but I doubt that...
I thought there would be a stuffing at SMS today, but didn't think Saints would be dishing it out, Arsenal lucky it was just four! Glady proven wrong, Saints magnificent!
Sorry Dalek, this time of year I always feel a bit like Scrooge as a Saints fan, we usually dip out on the Christmas cheer. On recent form I can see us tonked by Arsenal, and outfought by WHU and Norwich. Squad needs a freshen up to provide quality and competition...
We need a shake up with the starting 11 for the next match, and major investment in the January window with two or three quality signings in key positions, and perhaps an experienced loan (or two) as insurance.
Not hopeful we will get either...
Austin please, the boy has got goals in him and is a known quantity. We also need cover at centre back and competition at right back. For once, the Board needs to suck it up and spend some real money in a January transfer window or it will be a jarring season...
Baffling in many ways to go from playing like Ajax to looking like WBA in the space of 12 months! Something not right at Saints, and it doesn't look like getting better anytime soon, lots of bickering and finger pointing on the park. Glad we've got 21 points in December.
Has there been a time in our recent transfer history when we've been fast to react, or at least faster than our competitors? The screw up with TA was both frustrating and naive, and the number of fans pointing out that signing an experienced back up keeper and a striker (loans would have done) could have turned a good season into a monumental one! Saints seem to have good structure, but you have to consider luck alongside the soundbites and plaudits.
Would be a good call. Much bigger physically than Cedric, and currently refusing to sign a new contract at Leeds - a deal could be done that would give us real options at right back.
