  1. Spurs also need to keep their best players and their manager. It would be surprising to see them win the league next season.
  2. Sorry to hear that Vectis. Frank was past his prime when he joined us, but like Charlie George still had a lot of the silky skill and showmanship and I loved watching him, particularly alongside Steve Williams. It was also a treat to see his fashion sense before and after matches, which even in the early 80s was something to behold - the Huddersfield Elvis! Here's a reminder of what he was capable of -
  3. This is a prime example of a rhetorical answer. That, or early onset Alzheimer's...
  4. The theme this year is The Falklands War 1982, I'm going as the Defence Secretary John Nott...
  5. You are absolutely right, and I think is the key to organic growth, top eight challenging and a few cup wins in the next five or six years would consolidate the club very nicely (I'd settle for two FA Cups, a League Cup, and the Europa - no pressure...). I remember the momentum from the FA Cup win lasting for a decade and it would be nice to give our great club that extra zip!
  6. It would be nice if they could lose their last two games so that Arsenal and Man City finish above them with Saints in 5th - not perfect but nice...
  7. Arguably the best English player of his generation.
  8. A case for imposed Dignatas. Sorry if that sounds controversial!

  10. My main concern is whether he can learn French if it's only a five year contract...
  11. Exactly how quick is he?...

  14. Clearly a move by Van Gaal and lazy journalist-arsonists to unsettle him. I trust his diamanté diamond encrusted cuckoo clock was saved?!...
  15. No, ratfink is the Saints' Piñata for the rest of his career. His cockiness and reactions when playing us suggests the feeling is mutual, the only way out for him is when he drops down to the Championship in a couple of years where cuddles are few and far between...
  16. This season Liverpool could get two runners up spots in cups and still secure a top half finish in the league, for an unfashionable club of their size that's a great achievement. Let's not forget that...
  17. Too obvious this one, darling Dalek I would love to get in the EL at the expense of self-pity city, can you imagine the sea of candles...
  18. Need a 5-1 here now to equal WHU and MU on goal difference. COYR!
  19. I think that it's purely down to Ronald Koeman, as I don't think he's a man who is easily influenced or prone to rash decisions. World class player, managed a number of big clubs effectively, strong character, already a multi-millionaire - so I think it will be as much to do with lifestyle as money and greater fame. I'm sure Ron is still ambitious, as he's a winner, but it would take a very attractive proposition, and I think he would love to win something with Saints...
  20. Spawny w*nkers!
  21. It might just work too, the way their fans are if we poop the party by scoring first they might turn quickly. Apart from the Pelle knee in the back we've had nothing from the ref and the officials have missed three Leicester handballs so far, so going to be tight!
  22. You couldn't make it up! Oh I see, they have... C*nts
  23. Apparently they are now boycotting the Southern Evening Echo, and demanding a public Inquiry, chaired by Phil Thompson...
