A bona fide in the know just put this up. Spors is holding interviews today at the Humble Plumb in Bitterne!
-
Absolutely. Would need promotion and stabilisation first, however! Get brian jacks and his satsumas in as fitness coach 😊
-
Carrick with Woodgate as assistant and Romeu as skipper! Maybe first day they bring their CVs in for the approval of our superstars…
-
I mentioned being told that Romeu was at Staplewood in the summer discussing a comeback ‘role’, week after Saints wrapped up their Spanish tour. Delighted if this comes off now, first part of the amputation of the scar tissue for our resident primadonnas!
-
It’s a anagram of Rick Carmichael! Another fucking nobody!
-
Of course, but don’t like to talk about it. Liverpool have grown on me over the years - the peoples’ club. It’s like liking the Beatles.
-
Comments of Azaz being a luxury player. I think he thought he was joining a luxury team. A lot of us thought that.
-
Hopefully he got fucked by Louis Spence.
-
Don’t be fucking daft! Sometimes you have to hit rock bottom to get back up. Last time that happened it gave us one of the best decades of supporting our club. It’s our club, that’s why it matters.
-
I said to the nipper after 15 minutes today that it looked to me like the players were deliberately trying to lose the game, genuinely, all except Scienza. No passion, no drive, no urgency, no fucking idea. You would hope that Will Shill has already been sent packing after the shitshow today. No way back with him in place.
-
Yes, I thought of both Fonte and Romeu joining the first team coaching staff. No better role models, and neither would be shy in terms of grounding gobshites at our club. Problem would be our detached owners making the link / move.
-
Agree, and compounded by Still not having the gravitas to challenge the fuckers. I did wonder if in Belgium / France the fact that he was perceived as a young Englishman (who could speak French) actually helped him in terms of rarity value. Our second rate superstars were never likely to give him that leeway.

I think Will Still is a dead man walking, and the club are likely currently interviewing to appoint a new man after the weekend. But when the trigger is pulled, assuming Spors stays in role, we need a whole new backroom staff for the first team to come in with the new broom - Lallana, Martin, Trollope all need to go. If the rumours of senior players undermining Still and Juric are true the new manager ideally needs to be and ex player with a solid career, who can bring in coaches of a similar character. For example, Carrick's right hand man at 'Boro was Woodgate, Carsley had Lescott with the England U21s, Gerrard had McAllister at Villa. I hope the underachieving prima donnas get levelled, and the players who actually want to play for Southampton have some inspiration and aspiration in the new gaffer.

It's rather like watching the Bolshoi ballet vs one legged clog dancing in terms of exposure to El Crappio in Lancashire yesterday.
-
I would have welcomed Cooper in the summer, as many others would have, but the ship sailed and now at Brondby. A smart boardroom would likely approach him and buy out his contract (shouldn't be extortionate). So don't expect that to happen anytime soon.

Whatever way you look at it it's remarkable that the first time in a decade we have someone willing to put proper money into the club he chooses the footballing equivalent of Dumb and Dumber to implement the strategy. All that was needed on takeover was investment in key areas on the pitch, and give Hassenhuttl a season to stabilise and ensure that the backroom elements of the club were functioning as they should be. If not Hassenhuttl, an experienced head with Premier league experience, but no, far too easy, far too diligent. Instead all three of their permanent appointments at manager have been work experience projects at the point of hire, and there has to be a human reason why they avoid recruiting people with genuine / proven footballing nous every time they can. Still is not going to get better. Spors and Ankerson are likely on the same wavelength and private WhatsApp number, so we will keep playing deja fucking vu! Someone close to Solak needs to explain to him that is he wants to be a Premier League football club owner this much, a scorched earth clearout at SFC is the only thing likely to save that dream, and our long suffering club into the bargain!
-
If Billy Bullshit is still in charge this could get messy!
-
Get a bottle of Woods Old Navy. You wont care after two decent tumblers of that. SFC supporting anesthetic!
-
Rumours are Ankerson is on the case with some ideas for Still's replacement:
-
Will be one of the Sport Republic fluffers!

Carsley Gerrard Carrick
